Good game. At least on linux the web version does not maximize so I downloaded it and used experimental proton to resolve compatibility. Doing this, the tutorial appears to bug after defeating the several enemies (does not show you a different screen), so I am not sure where did the snail come from. Still, I could figure out the game anyway and the bug was probably due to compatibility issues. In any case, fun game and nice art.

Thank you!! And certainly, I planned on adding more dialogue with the motivations and backstory of the player, which I sort of tried to add to that bit of dialogue with the shopkeeper outside the cave. Perhaps you didn't notice you could go outside? wouldn't blame you, and the dialogue is not enough to properly establish the goal of "just endure" anyway. Other than that, I was thinking of adding ways to investigate to see if the monster could be slain somehow, but ultimately left it in a "see how many days you can last" due to lack of time.
maybe I missed adding some more instructions? The ball in the middle is the boss you can awaken with E, you can also go outside to talk to a shopkeeper or open the upgrades menu with U to get upgrades that cost time. Other than that yeah there isn't much else to do, sorry about that. There's also a room at the back of the cave where you can sleep 6 hours at a time if you want to see the boss reforming without buying upgrades.
Nono I just never got to it, lost too much time with the other parts of the game and with life stuff. I haven't even started producing music/sounds. It is a real pity though, I was thinking of adding sounds made by myself like "Crash" or "crack" with comic style explosion boxes when the box hit the ground. About the first part, it is also possible in this jam to fix bugs if you keep the original build available and explain the fix (Jerbob confirmed it in the discord server).
Thank You! Don't worry the game has no music, It didn't make it to the release (Between you, me and whoever is reading this, I'd love to add it saying I'm just fixing a bug but I think it would be a bit too much). To be honest, the score count scene needs a bit more love put into it, perhaps I'll polish the game more once the voting period ends.
Perhaps I have not played too many games for this jam, or perhaps I played too many random ones and not the best rated, but I'd say this is the silliest one I've played so far. Very fun too. I sort of feel like it completely ignored the theme though, but in terms of sillyness, enjoyment and creativity I think it is top notch.
Ah it does work now. The cookies did mass spawn when killing an enemy one of the times I played it. You may want to add the original one for download or with a link or something as per jam etiquette and say what you fixed in broad terms (although I don't think people will rate based on the old version that did not work having one that does, but that's up to them I guess). Also, maybe you could add the controls to the game page (the game page itself can be changed as much as you like during the game jam, as was confirmed in the discord server). In any case, I went ahead and changed my rating. Also, the GUI appears to the middle left of the screen when in fullscreen mode, which is probably a bug of sorts.
