thanks! i had a lot of fun making him

yes!!! beautifully written and true.

"If you can push the boundary even an inch before you fail, you can create the conditions for future victory."

lol it was not intentional at first but then the memes started lining up so perfectly...

love these half-remembered bits of ephemera

never thought i'd see a miro board on itch, ha ha. i super relate to this mode of thinking/mapping, taking things in as many directions as you can. cool stuff

i love this! one pixel can do so much

interesting read! i like this bit: "And the corollary, if you take the interesting space station story out of the space station, it can remain interesting." i think it's always good to remember the value of the present and now that we inhabit

beautiful sentiment and presentation!

i like the bit about hope existing within cynicism. i think of myself as a cynical person in many ways but it's been helpful to me to realize i can contain both at the same time

nice. zines as background radiation. also shout out ottawa

good set of thoughts, i definitely resonate with a lot of it. use sentimentality with great caution.

it's funny, cate wurtz has long been an inspiration to me but ive never really been successful at emulating any of what makes her work so special imo lol. but if you don't know it already, you might enjoy max graves' "what happens next" comic, similarly distinctive art style and really great use of social media and sifting thru 2000s/2010s cultural debris

love love love all of this. i've definitely noticed that thing about art & the present. a symptom of nostalgia, denial, avoidance, etc i think. and fair point about audience being tied to space -- we need more spaces

i also very very seen by this:
"My games have nothing to do with that because I haven’t figured out how to make a game about that yet. I still have this feeling that my games should be  important or make an impact on people but all the ways we are taught to do that are bullshit."

great manifesto. lately ive definitely been coming to terms with recognizing when game dev stops being fun and why.

i like this! the storytelling potential of toilets

haha i love this. this was sorta the direction wanted to take fat boy rpg in, low stats and revive management, and love what you've done with it. love the character select and discovering what abilities and enemies interact. also the room design reminds me of lode runner 2

record so far is floor 23

absolutely agree, my manifesto is also lightly critical of dog petting. but i love the level of depth you've gone into here on why. and beautiful presentation

really cool ideas here. i especially like the bits about gods and kings, how language is so tied to one's culture and background, and how that creates biases and assumptions when creating conlangs.

awww thanks 🙂‍↕️

The war is the drive!!

theese are all fabulous and i love the formatting. i especially like the postmodernism one, and the last one. growth, death, everything ends but remains nonetheless

hit after hit after hit

i disagree but thank you

im sorry for my crimes

YESS!!! more ugly women

yesss every one a banger

full of great ideas, borrow, daydream... beautiful & compact

hell yes

love the idea of antisense, of re-ordering the building blocks, and being in conversation with sense. (though i gotta stick up for my good friend nonsense, i think there's value there too.) i also love the visuals on this!

ooh i really really like this, i definitely get hung up on time & timeliness in my own work, even though i often really enjoy stuff that is firm about its place in time... gonna be thinking on this for a bit

love this! i see a thread through a number of these manifestos of the freeing power of "no one cares" and i wholeheartedly agree

thank you coach mcguirk

this rocks

fuck vocabulary!!!

thank u for the shout out but don't sell yourself short! this was a good read

"One does not have to relate to connect" reallll

i tried distilling it a few times but nothing sounded as good to me as my first draft, lol. though the cheat sheet at the end was my attempt to make it more compact and consumable

YES... love the cathedral comparison, the idea of all this sacrifice of human life and value... also big on owning your art and forcing the world to look... and "It Depends" is my mantra lol

great FAQ. i learned a lot

cheers to possibility!!
