Honestly I thought it was bad at first, then I realized most of the visible trash are actually compressed piles you can sweep up. Seriously, after sweeping every area it only took me a couple of days to collect everything and convert it into scrap.

WTF do I do about all the trash??? I was able to manage it in 0.8.2 pretty well by either bagging it and tossing it in the dump, or by gathering it on the workbench and turning it into scrap (and incinerating the excess scrap). But this update increased the amount of shit lying around to a ridiculous degree, and I don't know what to do about it anymore. Is there an option I'm missing or are we just expected to accept that Alpha Base will always be a pigsty now??
So 600 points / whatever amount of scrap to upgrade all arrays once, in which case it will still frequently fail and you are still stuck doing nothing else but watching the screen... Yeah this needs to be reworked. I don't mind the direction it has taken, just give us something to do while it loads. A better solution might also be to have it take a flat amount of time that takes less as you upgrade it. The RNG is just too frustrating.
Okay so first off I'm going to echo that I understand it's an unstable build, nothing is set in stone yet, and they're still working on it etc.
Now. I've only been playing for about a month so I don't have the same amount of experience as some other players. So please excuse me if any of my gripes are just me not knowing how to play; I would appreciate tips and constructive feedback, in such a case.
I really like a lot of the new features in 0.9. Compared to 0.8.2, there is a lot more game in the game, Alpha base looks much nicer and functional overall, and the daily tasks are much more engaging.
I don't think the new day speed is as much of a problem as people are saying; I think that getting upgrades should give you more time to do other things during the day. But early game, the activities now fill up so much of your time that it feels like you have to have played previous versions to know how to keep all your plates spinning, so to speak. For instance, the new coordinate minigame is a really interesting way to change that mechanic, but now I spend so much extra time waiting for the cooldowns and getting frustrated when a signal disappears before I've had a chance to call all of the triangulation coordinates. I think one thing that might help is if the quick ping and the coordinates had separate cooldowns.
Also, using floppy disks to download the hash codes in the arrays is much better than having to write them down in your notebook, but I spend a lot more time overall waiting for the download to stop failing. That part isn't even fun, I can't leave or do anything else while I wait for them, I just have to step back and fold my arms, maybe step away from my computer to go get a snack or something. If you're going to insist on that, maybe significantly decrease the chances of it failing.
And oh gods the trash. There's so much trash in this update. 0.8 was interesting with the trash because it took a while to clear it, but it was still manageable. Here the trash feels like an exercise in acceptance. What am I supposed to do with all this??? I can't pick it all up and turn it all into scrap. Putting it all in the incinerator is going to take way too much time. So far my only solution has been to sweep all of it outside and forget about it. If anyone has any suggestions about what I should do with it, please let me know because I feel like I'm missing something.
That all being said, I really do like the direction the game is going. It's very clear a lot of time and thought has gone into this update. I look forward to the stable release.
You're absolutely right that the events are more impactful that way, but using the cheat method helps unlock some of those NG+ features for some QoL so that I am more willing to find those scenes, paradoxically. I appreciate it!
I was going to send you a donation but it looks like the only option is subscribestar. I intend to keep my promise but I don't want to make an account there right now. But I'm definitely going to check out your other games, I like your art style and I want to see more of it ^^
This is really fun and promising, but way too difficult in its current state.
-Health potions are infrequent, vampiric swords don't give any significant HP return, natural healing is negligible
-Enemies can attack diagonally but player is limited to orthagonal
-Enemies automatically aggro on sight, running is not an option
-Sex mechanics don't seem to do much beyond id'ing succubus rings and a temporary stun for enemies that is cleared after one hit
+Core gameplay is solid
+Curvy lady protag <3
+H-animations are hot and fun, jiggle physics are great
