p.s. I really appreciated that puzzle mode didn't have a timer. Especially without color coding

I don't understand the difference between the top and right mode? But this feels great to play and I blasted through both modes one after the other because I was having so much fun. I agree that color and some musical changes would be very welcome, but I'd also love to see a timed random mode. I could see this being a very popular high score challenge if it had that!

I realize this is just a tutorial but I love this genre of game and I especially associate it with the Game Boy, so this feels like the more natural game of the jam to have in pea soup green :D

I would be all over a fleshed out version of this. I involuntarily said "oh no!" out loud when the end screen came up because I was so excited to play more.

This is a great start to a game and I hope you can spend more time on it!

This is such a neat puzzle and I think it could be an amazing high score challenge. I'd love to see this fleshed out more but I will also replay it a lot.

This is super fun and I will be playing it for years to come. Thanks for making it!

This is such a blast! I ran into one bug where I couldn't move around even though nothing should have been blocking me. Eventually it fixed itself and I finished it. I wonder how many more sprites the Lynx can handle...

I really enjoyed this! Some feedback:

The hard mode is too hard to play with one thumb. I recommend mapping the top character to any d pad direction and the bottom character to any button.

Also, it would make it much better for high score chasing if restarting skipped the opening animation. It looks cool once but seeing it again and again is pretty frustrating.

This is a very fun port of Flipull. The symbols are easy to read and the music is very nicely arranged. Good work!

It's short but eminently replayable with the awesome time tracking!

Did you ever release the OST? Is this available on NES cartridge? This is likely in my top 10 games on Evercade and I would love to play it on my NES.

I got this on cartridge at MGC and it is so good and a solid challenge even on easier difficulties.

Some of the gifs on this page appear to be broken on Safari on iOS.

This is such a great game. I finished the cart version last week and bought the digital version for more levels!

Thanks so much for bringing it to Evercade! It has been great to see my Cadin' friends enjoy the game too!

Maybe there's no escape???

Once I went down the laundry chute, Leif showed up in the kitchen. All good! I did beat the game in under six minutes to earn the achievement. I never managed to beat the mother shadow without getting hit, but otherwise I think I did pretty good!

I can play through it again if I'm missing something, but if it's a bug you might want to fix it.

I also noticed that I got the achievement for beating the game in six minutes without beating the game because (I think) I launched the prototype.

Hi! I really enjoyed both the finished game and the prototype on Switch. I think I softlocked myself out of the ending though. I got the letter before the thing I found in the garden was open. Even though I had the password Leif never mentioned it again and now he's drawing endlessly in the living room.

I played it on the nice Nintendo Switch release, along with the prototype!

What exactly does the Level Rank mean?

Did you use the map on the select button? That helped me a lot.

Also, I would gladly buy a polished standalone version of the minigame, but I imagine there are reasons it's hidden. That was a real treat and the puzzle to get there was a good time too.

Full cleared the cartridge version on a new game+ with a little spider help from here. What a funny and lovingly made game. Some really terrific puzzles as well.

I got really frustrated the fifth time I lost to the final boss when I was fighting it too early. It would be nice to give some kind of feedback that the player missed something and allow them to skip the credits at least after the first time.

Also the crow thing could have used a trifle more signposting. In retrospect the clue seems clear but before I got it I didn't get it, if you know what I mean.

Also, I'd love to see this on Evercade!

You probably aren't ready to fight the final boss yet.

Awesome devlog!
