One of my favorites from the jam! The structure of this is really great. All the adjectives and nouns have incredible range to play with.

The Old Ways Must Go feels like an important game. It's about calling out the "old ways" and working together to create the "new ways." Throughout the game text, the emphasis on changing systems and structures and the importance of community really comes through. This is a game that is asking the players to reflect thoughtfully on the "old ways" and being creative for how they can be changed. And right now is an important time to be going through such as ritual.
The game being framed as a ritual works very well and there are great ways this is reinforced in the text. Players use tarot cards for inspiration and there are moments where players must recite specific words together that really drives home the ritual feeling. The way the cards are laid out during play also has strong ritual imagery.
Collaboration and discussion are key to this game and are encouraged during each of the game rounds. Higher player counts likely would create the most engaging sessions, though there is a solo variant included as well.
Also, I highly recommend the physical copy and the cloth playmat. Both are high quality and, the cloth playmat especially, beautiful!
I had a great time with Crisis in the Jwi-dal of Musin!
This is a solo game using the Hints and Hijinx system. It is inspired by historical K-dramas. While I'm not very familiar with the source material, there is enough context in the introduction and descriptions of the locations of the mystery, in my opinion, that I never felt lost or unsure of what do to.
The clues and complications included gave me plenty of guidance to come up with a drama-filled story and plenty of hijinx!
I rolled pretty well and ended up with a lot of clues. My detective was successful in solving the case! It felt satisfying building upon the story as I played. It felt natural to add onto the details slowly throughout play and I ended up surprising myself where everything went.
