Very nice game! Had lots of fun but had to call it myself at the end since it got pretty repetitive. I really liked the abilities, and the fact (which i later discovered) that they can stack onto eachother was really cool, i utilized it to effectively stun the ENTIRE screen then the explosions took care of the rest.

I think the octopus shouldnt always be firing their projectiles, since it makes unpreventable damage when theres more than one. It is balanced with that they dont always hit, especially when you only have a few boats. I ended up with just one boat at the end. Additionally the upgrades were a bit limited since it was the only few (my game also suffers from the same issue lol) but i also liked the rarity system, more unique upgrades like the explosion would be very cool.

Overall very nice!! (got a score of over a billion at 25 minutes with 250% intensity and level 84, itch wont let me attach the end screen for some reason)

Your game seems cool! Gonna check it out and rate it now.

Heres my game if you wanna give it a go: TimeSink Submission (Link)

Thanks for playing and the feedback! Audio was definitely a large problem for me during development, although I have already implemented a resource pooling system, it keeps entities, effects and projectiles loaded in the background, I might need to look into it again but thanks for the advice!

Thanks for the feedback and playing my game! Honestly the wings bothered me a bit too but I couldn't think of any other way to signify backwards movement since the ship doesn't have back thrusters and a static ship drifting backwards looks a bit odd. I thought I fixed the browser stutter but I might look into it again.

Very cool game, really like the puzzles and tools that were available. The CRT shader works very well here. Only thing i can really think of is someway to somewhat randomize the levels, like having mine variants to prevent players from brute force memorizing the puzzles but its not that huge of an issue. Overall liked it alot!

Your game looks awesome, definitely going to try it now

This is my game for the jam!

Time Sink Submission Page

Thanks for the feedback and for playing so much, you probably have gotten the furthest out of everyone I've seen play my game (including myself!). I will definitely smooth out the game after the jam is over, balance and audio were probably the least focused aspects (ironically, likely the parts that should have taken the most attention). Thanks for the valuable review!

Very nice game, I liked the gameplay a lot. Admittedly the first time i encountered the giants it spooked me because it came up right behind me, it would be nice to have some kind of way to identify where enemies are coming from, I had to do a spin sometimes just to check none are sneaking up on me. The rythm mechanic was very nice and way less punishing then I expected it to be (thankfully) but sometimes the crosshair was a bit hard to see to align the arrows, a setting would be nice to make it more visible.

Overall though, great game for the jam and fits the theme really well. Visuals were fitting and audio was awesome.

Loved it! Lots of fun! I got quite far with upgrading my laser and then just spinning as a death beam helicopter. Not sure its intentional with how you collide with the land but i used it a lot to reflect myself and duke the enemies in tough situations. One of the best games I've played from the jam!

Cool game! Good concept, I also used easy mode since The T-Rex got me pretty quickly. I never beat the game unfortunately as i kept getting soft locked, once in the first level by a tree and another time in the second by a crystal. Would be nice though if the sprinting and jumping from the second stage came into the first as well.

Overall very nice though! Slapping things around was fun

Going to try your game now, my game also has a time mechanic!

Heres a link of my game if your interested

Outstanding, honestly. The mechanic of the game is incredibly unique, I loved the second part the most, Its something I haven't really seen done before personally as a mix of the radio tuning and the guiding whispers.  This game has great potential to be expanded upon if you wanted to, especially with the ending. Tbh I did need the github solution for the first puzzle but thats just because i couldnt figure out the ordering although I didnt really need hints for the rest of the game so good job!!

Hi, your game looks amazing! I'll definitely give it a go, you'll probably see my comment in the submission page after I play it.

This was my entry for the jam! (just released a hotfix so it should run fine on web)

Thanks so much! This is incredibly valuable feedback! I do need preloading, i think most of the stutter is just from loading scenes actively. Im also actively building my library of sounds at the moment, it's a bit hard since I work on everything solo and I basically had to rush this game down in a week due to other priorities. I never encountered enemies just disappearing like that though in my playtests, even when I set the wave to 30+, might be collision issues or something. Anyways thanks a lot! I think this is the most useful feedback I've ever received on a game, I plan to smooth out the game post-jam to make it more playable, this will help a lot.

Thanks for playing! Shooting is limited to make sure players make use of the time mechanics but I probably should have added more upgrades that let you shoot more continuously (since there's just 1 upgrade that increases your ammo)

amazing game, i loved the goober protagonist. Also storm tower my beloved.

Nice game! Like the loop and difficulty increase, kept the game challenging. I do think some of the buffs could probably be more substantial, explosion barely did anything and enemies arent always grouped.

I liked the gameplay. Although i think the game would benefit alot from better control, like realtime controlling. I died a lot to moving obstacles since i couldnt re-adjust myself mid movement, especially currents although that could just be a skill issue on my part, good game!

I like the game! good graphics and audio although the upgrade dynamic feels a bit weird with some giving way better boosts then others but the games still very nice

I like it! Nice short game that fits the theme
(By the way, there was a glitch where the birds shadow stayed on the screen instead of passing by)

Love the game, very unique visual style. Gameplay is pretty impactful although after a while i just ran past most of the enemies and that kinda just worked. Very cool game nonetheless.

Love the game! Amazing effects and controls, very humorous too.

Thanks! Glad to see you enjoyed it!

Some of the levels have a bigger camera but not by much but definitely some levels like level 12 (fine control) could 100% use a bigger camera.

Thanks! I figured theres no reason the dev test level should be hidden from players so its just a bonus.
If I get back around to it at some point, I do want to polish the game up and have some more levels.

Oh yeah, I definitely should have implemented coyote time, completely slipped my mind, woops

Thanks for the feedback! I really like destruction physics in games. It was a bit difficult to implement a proper movement system with a character that is constantly tumbling or rotating in every direction so its definitely a bit clunky.

Thanks, I really like experimenting with physics so I wanted the game to involve it quite a bit.

Yeah, the movement is difficult to get proper control of tbh and I made most of the levels on the day before the time limit so they are a bit rushed and the difficulty is a bit wonky.
