i never cared about craft for most of my art education but over the last year trying to be craft is uncomfortable and challenging so i'm going the opposite route but i think the spirit is still there i basically want to be able to draw sexy furry men

i love this - i think it's important to distinguish "play" from "defeat" - like i'm sure i could find some joy in an OVER-LONG aaa game?
also i appreciate this method, which is counter to this wonderful writing: https://pumpkinclowning.itch.io/games-i-wont-play
absolutely fascinating to experience something so thoughtful in such a short amount of time - both the limits of the jam and the reading of this. i was truly engulfed in this tiny slice of this universe, and reached all three endings within an hour's time. i'm far from knowledgeable about any of the accuracy here, but it feels well-researched; and even if it's not accurate, it's put together really d*ng well. absolute banger.
wild, wild ride. fantastic polish in every single way. that being said, i'm not much of a fan of purple prose, but i think it served this project well. fascinating story, went to places i could never predict, and absolutely swallowed me whole. it feels weird finishing this and coming back to reality.
i looooooove speedrunning (as a spectator), so this grabbed my attention immediately. the choices/coin part was really cool, what a nice technical achievement. i enjoyed the dialogue/story a bit too, i love dates !! of course i was yelling at saul to just be up front with everything, so i'm happy i got to have those choices... and the ones i wouldn't have picked, i was cringing at (at the content, not the writing itself). loved the casual conversational tone of this. need a coin to play this again for the first time.
i saw a screenshot of looming ages ago, and it looked like nothing i'd ever seen before. for years, i built it up in my head, wanting to play it during the winter, but circumstances made me regrettably pass it up. this happened for maybe ten years. in 2026, i realised at this point, it could not hold the magic i thought it might. i'm not sure it was possible to accomplish that impossible dream, but this existed on a parallel plane; it was much weirder and mysterious than my low-expectation prediction was. definitely needed help finding the location of 7 and 9, but was otherwise pleased that this was (mechanically at least) transparent.
was an audience member for a readthrough of this (FVN server) and was totally blown away. just a month? this GOES PLACES. it's a bit chaotic and i love it for that, going for big swings is important to me. love all of the work that has been poured into this. i kinda hate that something like this can be over so quickly. of course i could spend more time with it, but that's not what i mean, i just wish it was possible to be in the mind of creators during the making of something, sometimes. this is one of those times
highly polished experience. enjoyed that it's a topic i'm completely unfamiliar with (cons are not really something i'm interested in attending right now), so it's cool to see this explored in a VN form. love the references to furry media, and the switching of human/'sona. i do like this kind of story where the characters are messy and it's not a bombastic ending, though i did feel like shit after this. that's okay, but i do need pick-me-up now, lol.
this was great! admittedly it took me a little too long to understand the chronology, but this made me emotional. i'm cis and don't want a family, so i appreciate when there are stories like this that make me consider an issue i haven't thought about before. i know the backgrounds are rough but i really love them like that. artie's antlers are cool, too !! thank you
i think i cried just as much as ransom !! i thought the script could be a little overwritten/cliche at times, but i don't really think it brought this down, and maybe apt for who ransom is. i didn't expect much from a jam game, but the story was so intense !! i'm definitely looking forward to img_1697 (and CCoR19) now.
i'm so glad the creator decided to finish this instead of putting it down, thank you !!what an incredible piece. i cried a few times even though i was in a distracted state of mind at the time. different artstyles were interesting, but the fits were topnotch. fantastic writing, some juicy VA. overall incredibly polished experience that really impressed me. the "My sleepy old man" illustration is my favourite visual by far, so cute. i also purchased the bonus art/dev book and i loved that too.
