The main point is that it's not something they can enforce, which means that most people will still use AI, so it will only push the small percentage of people that are honest and willing to comply. For AI art you can still tell most of the time, for code - there is no way.

Yeah, I get that, but it's not realistic. AI came and it's not going anywhere. Anyone that thinks someone will write manual code again after a few years has no knowledge of the industry. I think Jensen Huang (Nvidia's CEO) said it best - developer's job has always been about solving problems - everything else are tools. Like at some point people that knew how to manually write Regex were highly respected and needed, then people automated it and now nobody knows how to manually write regex and nobody will ever need to.
Vibe coding was something silly and scary about a year ago. Even then it was a conversation mostly held by people that have never actually worked in software development professionally. Most of the risk with it was associated with junior devs or non-devs vibe-coding and committing crappy code. However that has not really been an issue in the professional world, because there are processes to prevent it and people (for the most part) are much more responsible. People do their own reviews and everything typically has to go through a PR process.
I've been working in Software Dev for a long time and have been managing different teams. I am also deeply involved in the community and work with many different organizations, teams and companies. There are 0 teams that don't use AI. 100% of them are fully integrated and every single developer uses it.
I've had this conversation in the Indie Dev community before and I know this will likely backfire, but I really don't see the point of setting rules for no AI generated code. AI code generation has been the standard in the professional dev community for over a year now and at best you will get some newbies that will comply, a few hard core folks that will write everything themselves and most others just say that didn't use AI, when they actually did. In this day and age and as someone that has over 15 years experience coding games by 'hand' rules like this just make zero sense. It's like people wanting to use Assembly because they consider C# to be cheating. Coding is a small part of the job of a developer and using tools to enhance or speed it up is no different than using any other tools.
I would love to see less of these rules and conditions out in the community, especially considering that they are typically not enforceable.
That was pretty neat. Was really puzzled by the controls at first, but after a minute I got the hang of it. I think I've seen or played a similar game a while back, just can't recall exactly. Nicely done, especially with that short timeline! Keep it up!
I would love it if you can play and rate my game, cheers!
Well done and applause for acknowledging the use of AI. I think using AI for everything, from the idea, to the execution and the description might be a bit too much, but hey - to each their own. If you are just starting in game development - have fun and keep it up.

Thanks for playing and the kind words! I've implemented that leaderboard recently and it's a free and really easy to use. Thought, if I haven't worked on it for another project recently, likely wouldn't have added it. If you are interested this is what I use - it's free and easy to use:

Thanks for playing! Yeah, I noticed an occasional stutter that shows up only on Itch, not even in my local webgl, but didn't have time to troubleshoot it further. I was a bit puzzled, because all objects are spawning from pools which are pre-warmed at start, so nothing get instantiated in the actual gameplay...go figure. Love the name! :D
One of most unique concepts I've played so far. I think this is an amazing idea. I wish there was a bit more explanation or mechanic about the actual connectors - like if they do anything and if their length affect the time you get. Also when you hit play and don't get it right - it looks a bit like the scene is frozen, there is no clear indicator of what has happened. All that is fine after you play a few times. Pretty cool overall! Keep it up!

It truly is timeless! I wasn't sure if there is a jump, couldn't find a button for it. I also know exactly what is causing your animation issue (how the feet are bent unnaturally) - you have to use the right avatar from Synty before exporting the animation from Mixamo. Keep it up!

Wow, this is incredible for 2 days! Impressive! The resource gather is a bit confusing, as I wasn't sure why I have all the resources needed, but still not showing when I am trying to build. But I loved the theme use and vibe of the game. Definitely keep working on this - it can be a really fun game!

I really like the concept of this. Maybe not the clicking/time charge, but the idea of growing ingredients for a recipe/cooking is pretty neat! I couldn't figure out how to harvest anything though, I got everything to a 100% , but still got no berries.
I would love it if you can play and review my game, cheers!
I just love the take on the theme, and also looove Thyme! A couple of pointers - enable to Full screen button in your game settings on Itch, because I can't understand what is happening in that tiny screen. I think I killed something with the blue balls, but it is really hard to tell. I also wish there was audio FX, but I get it - 2 day jam is rough... Well done!

I also got killed by those handsome guys! I've also used that same Mixamo character lol
For the love of gaming - please switch the camera to a Cinemachine with a mouse input lol that camera movement was sooooo hard to control. Well done though, keep it up! Let's hope for another 13 games!
