Governance of php-tuf/composer-integration and php-tuf/php-tuf

Statement

We welcome other projects and individuals to join the project.

To ensure the quality of the projects, all three will follow Drupal core development and release policies for the first few stable releases.

Drupal core committers collaborate with the project maintainers of php-tuf/php-tuf, php-tuf/composer-stager, and composer-integration to ensure the stability and quality of releases.

The use of Drupal core policies may change as the projects mature and other projects in the PHP community contribute.

Implementation

The use of Drupal core polices will be reviewed about every two years but can be earlier, if needed.

Maintaining

The project maintainers are encouraged and supported to continue maintaining the project long term.

Maintainer access to these repositories will be added for core framework and release managers.

Members of the Drupal Leadership team may be granted maintainer access to these repositories, upon request.

The maintainers of php-tuf/composer-stager are authorized to commit trivial fixes. Trivial fixes include dev dependency updates.

Non-trivial commits require signoff from the Drupal core backend framework managers.

Tagging a new stable release requires signoff from the Drupal core release managers.
