Before reading on, note there's scam website under the peace equalizer name. Only this site here on SourceForge is the actual website by me, Peter Verbeek. Peace equalizer is a Windows PC interface for Equalizer APO http://sourceforge.net/projects/equalizerapo. Besides an system-wide audio equalizer on your Windows PC, Peace has an effects panel for balance, crossfeeding, delay, etc., a graph window and much more. In short: Peace is an equalizer and audio mixer for all your PC software on any Windows version from Vista to 11. Your configuration (e.g. EQ, preset, profile) can be saved and activated again by 1 click, hotkey, tray or desktop shotcut. Install by running downloaded PeaceSetup.exe. Equalizer APO has to be installed first. After a Windows update a re-install of Equalizer APO might be needed. Also, all Peace apps have a code signing certificate by Certum, Asseco. TLPD is designed to tackle the 'path name too long' issue. It scans the directory tree, searching for files and folders with full path name that may be too long for Windows to handle. TLPD is portable, has silent mode. ReadMe and source are available.

Simple Software-restriction Policy
Control which folders programs can be run from.
A software policy makes a powerful addition to Microsoft Windows' malware protection. In particular, it is more effective against ransomware than traditional approaches to security. If you know about the Linux 'execute permission' bit then you'll understand what this is for. The mode of operation is somewhat different in that execute permission is granted to folders and subfolders rather than individual files, but the intention is the same, to stop undesirable or unknown software from launching unless you OK it. Additionally, it is possible to specify that certain executables (typically browsers and email clients) are run with reduced rights. This is a valuable damage-limitation measure against browser plugin vulns, etc. The protection can be turned off without a reboot whilst installing legitimate software, and will automatically reactivate after a specified time -

When Equalizer APO won't install or its apps won't run, it could be that your Windows startup folder doesn't exist. This tool creates this folder. 4.
