basE91 is an advanced method for encoding binary data as ASCII characters. It is similar to UUencode or base64, but is more efficient. The overhead produced by basE91 depends on the input data. It amounts at most to 23% and can range down to 14%.

Tasks are scheduled by the task scheduler module in the master node, and received by the task handler module in worker nodes, which executes these tasks in task runners. Task runners are actually processes running spider or crawler programs, and can also send data through gRPC (integrated in SDK) to other data sources, e.g. MongoDB.

NanoHTTPD is a light-weight HTTP server designed for embedding in other applications, released under a Modified BSD licence. It is being developed at Github and uses Apache Maven for builds & unit testing. Nanolets are like servlets only that they have a extremely low profile. We are currently in the process of stabilizing NanoHTTPD from the many pull requests and feature requests that were integrated over the last few months. The next release will come soon, and there will not be any more "intended" major changes before the next release.
