BFG Repo-Cleaner
Remove large or troublesome blobs
The BFG is a simpler, faster alternative to git-filter-branch for cleansing bad data out of your Git repository history. You can use it for removing crazy big files, and for removing passwords, credentials and other private data. The git-filter-branch command is enormously powerful and can do things that the BFG can't, but the BFG is much better for the tasks above, because is faster and simpler. The BFG isn't particularily clever, but is focused on making the above tasks easy. If you need to, you can use the beautiful Scala language to customize the BFG. Which has got to be better than Bash scripting at least some of the time. The BFG will update your commits and all branches and tags so they are clean, but it doesn't physically delete the unwanted stuff. Examine the repo to make sure your history has been updated, and then use the standard git gc command to strip out the unwanted dirty data. -

Generate documentation from endpoint descriptions. Leverage the metadata to report rich metrics and tracing information. Re-use common endpoint definitions, as well as individual inputs/outputs. Library, not a framework, integrates with your stack. Is your company already using tapir? We're continually expanding the "adopters" section in the documentation; the more the merrier! Everybody starts monitoring with logs because they are there by default. Just connect to your server and start tailing. But logs have a hard time showing you the overall response times for your application, or whether certain calls to the database are happening in sequence or parallel (among a million other things). -

Eclair
A scala implementation of the Lightning Network
Eclair (French for Lightning) is a Scala implementation of the Lightning Network. This software follows the Lightning Network Specifications (BOLTs). Other implementations include c-lightning, lnd, electrum, and rust-lightning. Eclair offers a feature-rich HTTP API that enables application developers to easily integrate. Eclair's JSON API should NOT be accessible from the outside world (similarly to Bitcoin Core API). Eclair requires Bitcoin Core 0.20.1 or 0.21.1. (other versions of Bitcoin Core are not actively tested - use at your own risk). If you are upgrading an existing wallet, you may need to create a new address and send all your funds to that address. Eclair needs a synchronized, segwit-ready, zeromq-enabled, wallet-enabled, non-pruning, tx-indexing Bitcoin Core node. You must configure your Bitcoin node to use bech32 (segwit) addresses. -

giter8 is a command-line utility and templating tool used to generate new projects or code structures from templates. The core idea is that you can define a “template repository” (e.g. on GitHub) with placeholders, variables, and a folder structure, and giter8 will clone it and substitute in values (e.g. project name, package, author) to produce a ready-to-go scaffold. It’s commonly used in the Scala / JVM ecosystem to bootstrap new applications or libraries, letting developers avoid repetitive boilerplate setup. The tool supports interactive prompting (asking the user for variable values) or passing parameters non-interactively to generate customized templates. Because it's general, it can be used for anything that fits templating (microservices, builds, documentation, modules, etc.). giter8 is light, extensible, and well-adopted in Scala communities (e.g. many scaffolding tools or frameworks provide giter8 templates). -

CMAK (previously known as Kafka Manager) is a tool for managing Apache Kafka clusters. Easy inspection of cluster state (topics, consumers, offsets, brokers, replica distribution, partition distribution). Generate partition assignments with option to select brokers to use. Run reassignment of partition (based on generated assignments). Create a topic with optional topic configs (0.8.1.1 has different configs than 0.8.2+). Delete topic (only supported on 0.8.2+ and remember set delete.topic.enable=true in broker config). Topic list now indicates topics marked for deletion (only supported on 0.8.2+). Batch generate partition assignments for multiple topics with option to select brokers to use. Optionally enable JMX polling for broker level and topic level metrics. Optionally filter out consumers that do not have ids/ owners/ & offsets/ directories in zookeeper. -
