Avian Freeware Suite (AFS) provides two things: Developers with libraries for Java Swing Widgets, XML handling, Fortran95 and Pascal; End users (Medical students, doctors, scientists) with productivity tools they can use (quizzes, XML databasing & PDF)

A comparative map and trait visualization framework enabling visual integration of genomic data from disparate data sources and allowing rich client-side interactivity and manipulation. Extensible through plugins for new datasources and algorithms.

The Genomic Diversity and Phenotype Data Model (GDPDM) captures molecular and phenotypic diversity data. MySQL databases are used to implement the schema. This project develops software tools (written in Java, Perl, etc.) associated with this model.

Here we introduce a Genomic Epidemiology Ontology (GenEpiO) that covers vocabulary necessary to identify, document and research food-borne pathogens and associated outbreaks. We envision various subdomains including genomic laboratory testing, specimen and isolate metadata, and epidemiological case investigations. The project files are currently hosted at https://github.com/GenEpiO/genepio/ . Here we provide the genepio-consortium@lists.sourceforge.net listserve. Terms for these subdomains have partially been implemented in the main file, **genepio.owl**, which imports terms from over 25 OboFoundry.org ontologies. Also we have added a number of terms that so far haven't been covered via OboFoundry. Recognizing that GenEpiO encompasses many domains, we are advocating a consortium approach for enhancing its content via interested parties that need particular domain terminology.

A dialect of XUL implementing most of Mozilla XUL's Fourth Draft. XML User Interface Language (XUL) is a method for easily creating GUI applications. Lux XUL supports Python scripting via Jython 2.1.

Perl Node Interface (PNI) is a node based visual programming environment. PNI makes easy to humans to write Perl programs. No Perl skill is required, programs are builded graphically. Perl coders can easily extend it writing new nodes.
