"ActCAD Review" Edited 2022-09-09
Pros: Everything. I used AutoCad in my job, but the price is huge for normal monthly use and for commercial too. ActCAD is very economic CAD software with AutoCad commands. You can temporary "move" licence to other PC and go back to first PC.
Cons: Nothing particularly. The product is more than perfect for my use, but probably something could be found for improvement.
Overall: Very economical, user friendly, easy to use for ex AutoCad users. I can temporarily "move" the licence on another PC and go back to first PC if I need. For me is the best buy CAD software. Permanent licence.

"Using ActCAD for a year" Posted 2021-11-30
Pros: It's like using the ActCAD since there is minimal if not no learning curve since it is almost the same with AutoCAD. Same toolbar functions, same commands and almost the same layout. The only adjustment i've made so far is a little tweak with my autolisp and that's it.
Cons: The price, definitely the price. It's very affordable price with the same function and features of AutoCAD.
Overall: It's like using AutoCAD with a little modification on the layout. I've been using cad softwares for almost 3 decades and this is the best value cad software I know of.

"Best software to date" Posted 2021-11-28
Pros: Early to use.
Great compatibility.
Help feature is great, quick to respond.
Better than most software.Cons: At this time I have not found anything bad about the product.
Overall: The option in contrast to costly Cad programming with the similarity that you ever dream.Compatibility with dwg design. Comparable orders, no compelling reason to adapt once more. Superb help super quick and exact. An incentive for cash design and orders are like AUTOCAD hence expectation to absorb information is short. It has all the earmarks of being quicker than comparative items.

"Retired architect review" Edited 2022-06-20
Pros: The program works very similar to AutoCAD at a much more affordable price. Command structure is similar and some actually work better.
Cons: So far I don't have any negatives. I would like to see a program with an intuitive 3d command structure.
Overall: I have used this for a house addition and a few woodworking projects. All of my AutoCAD files have transferred with no issues. Very satisfied with the program.

"ActCAD 2021" Posted 2021-11-28
Pros: ActCAD 2021 professional is a relatively affordable software which I bought at USD 299 after discount. ActCad 2021 is a perpetual software and I don't have to renew it yearly. Software is similar to AutoCAD but much much affordable. As for support, I was surprised that they responded to my query during their Diwali holidays and for that I am grateful. I would strongly recommend it if anyone is looking for a software like ActCad 2021.
Cons: I don't have much time to use this often due to other work commitments. Though I have tried several drawings. No other related issues though.
Overall: I am glad that I made the purchase when I saw it. Again great support from the team.

"Smsll Architectural Practice" Posted 2021-11-24
Pros: Similarity to AutoCad, but not the same!!!
It is reasonably easy to set up and use "out of the box"Cons: Mouse doesn't seem to be able to be used to scroll. We don't have large screens so scrolling is probably of the most used commands.
Overall: Pretty good really for our work, which is a mix of residential, commercial and large industrial, or at least was before COVID.

Cons: I would like to have the updates for free or a very low price.
Overall: It is a very good alternative to more expensive CAD software and it is professional, it has everything I need.

"Great product but poor backend service " Posted 2021-11-20
Pros: Great product, but no backend support to the software. We have taken 3 software- they have single license key. Now when we had some issues with systems and wanted to install the same software in another system . They are asking to upgrade and pay more- why should we pay when we have taken perpetual key - we don’t even want to upgrade the software. They should help us - but no support.
Cons: No backend support.
Force to upgrade.
No proper reply or help from backend.Overall: Software is good and equally good as AutoCAD- but service and backend support is a concern- pls check and buy and take only if they are ready to help.

Pros: The interface are user friendly.

Overall: Excellent app.

"ActCAD for Auto CADs!" Posted 2021-11-15
Pros: It has the option to print in all sizes of paper. We can customize objects, unlike the other software that has only standard features. It has an impressive display and a range of options for customization.
Cons: It can be a bit challenging to use especially for beginners and drawing sometimes lag or crashes especially when you continue using it for a very long period of time without breaks. and there are no 3D models importing.
Overall: We have been using ActCAD for the longest time and it's very convenient to use. Our team is used to this tool and can execute drawing perfectly or with just minimal error but not impacting the overall project. The only downside that I can see is that you will not be able to open the drawing that you created with the updated version to the old version.

"ActCAD 2021 Professional 10.0.1528.0.P.VC15.x64.RF100a" Edited 2021-12-07
Pros: The transition from AutoCAD to this product is incredibly easy, as the interface, ribbons, and command bar all function similarly to AutoCAD. The majority of commands have an identical function, and for most work this software provides everything needed in a drafting software.
Cons: There seems to be an underlying problem with how the User Coordinate System interacts with other commands. Commands, such as rotate, do not function properly if not in the world coordinates. If a drawing has multiple user coordinate systems, then it is a constant hassle to have to translate between those and the world coordinates to get commands to function as expected. There are other more complex commands, such as arraypath, that are unreliable in their functionality. They will work sometimes and then, for a reason I have yet to figure out, cease to do so. The program has other minor glitches such as a graphics glitch if you change tabs while in a viewport, causing the paper space to become invisible, as well as a tendency to freeze when working with Xref files, that need to be addressed.
Other items noted include:
Selection box glitch - the selection box will not show in the paper space on a particular sheet under certain conditions
Viewport Masking issue - paper space items cannot mask overtop of a viewport with a pdf
Cursor Lineweight - lineweight command appears to sometimes affect cursor and axis lineweight.Overall: Overall a good product with room for improvement. I think the support could be improved. So far, the typical response was to send a video of the problem which I had to figure out how to do. So the support to my problem was to give me another problem to solve on my own.

"Excellent product with great flexability" Edited 2021-10-30
Pros: I was first drawn to this program by the price, but stayed because of the usability of the system. I have been an AutoCAD user for 8 years prior to buying this program, and have found it to be even more user friendly and flexible, without losing any features.
Cons: I haven't found anything so far that I don't like.
Overall: Very flexible, and usable. Great compatibility. Doesn't take up as much computer resources, and is quicker than AutoCAD.

"Very Nice Drafting and Design Program" Edited 2021-11-20
Pros: ActCAD 2021 Standard is very much like AutoCAD LT that I used for many years during my industrial employment. I'm very happy with the performance of ActCAD 2021. I was impressed with the low cost of the program as well. I am currently retired, and enjoy designing prior to building my projects. This helps me to evaluate costs and avoid many mistakes.
Cons: I had some difficulty with an update of the program. This was quickly rectified with help from the support team.
Overall: This is a top notch program for personal design as I do, and is well suited for business applications.
