Overall: We have been using MariaDB and switched to Percona recently. We could see considerable performance improvements.

Pros: Cloud-ready Feature, you are gonna need it.
Up to 48 cores and Terabytes of RAM so you don't have to wait.

Cons: Ease of access.
Little high priced for small businesses.

Overall: Fast speed, easy to use, and cloud support, you don't need to look elsewhere for your database needs.

Pros: It is very easy to install and use. documents are very useful.
Multiple good features like cluster setup, HA

Cons: large databases and throughput. Some time need support.

Overall: Great software. highly recommend when using Mysql database.

Pros: It is very handy that came with so many features that are very useful and support whenever we need them. It completely changed the working of my team. Now it is efficiently working using this.

Cons: On a whole there are very less cons that can be observed but it has very less cons comparing others.

Overall: I really liked this and that's why giving a rating close to 10 I personally feel that everyone should give it a try.

Cons: As per me, pricing is a bit high but worth of features.

Percona Server for MySQL is open source with no hidden licensing costs which gives us huge savings on the high number of instances that are required on premise and in the cloud.
Large community support.
Percona offers additional open source tools to support Percona Server for MySQL.

Cons: A distributed database offering to scale writes with native sharding. Currently we make use of sharding managed by the application to scale writes. There is the option to place ProxySQL in front of the shards, but we need a true cloud native distributed option with an easy migration path. I would not say this is negative in terms of Percona Server for MySQL, but if Percona had a distributed database offering at some stage, we would follow Percona.

Overall: Percona Server for MySQL is being used across our whole organization. We are running 50+ primary instances in our data center with DR replica's running on compute instances inside GCP in 2 different regions. Percona Server for MySQL solves our need for well-tested and stable MySQL instances with Percona doing additional testing to the upstream releases which gives that added level of stability that we need for the massive volumes of processing as well as the required performance in sharded instances.

Pros: Very easy to install and and use. Well documented. Easy to upgrade. Enterprise standard. Paid support available if needed.

Cons: Without paid support you have to google any issues so takes a bit longer to resolve.

Overall: Percona provide great software. I would highly recommend them. Obviously look at what your needs are and check that you get all the functionality you require.

Pros: Percona server provide better database solutions for the applications. It is very fast and secure.

Cons: Handling large size databases.

Overall: Great database server.

Pros: I like all these tools that come with Percona Toolkit and make your life easier at work.

Cons: Sometimes it's hard to understand and use it by yourself and u need help from support.

Overall: I am fully thankful for what I found in the Percona community and how this guide can make all easy to use and understand.
