Stop the App Store Accountability Act — Delay It Until March 13, 2027
### 📣 Petition Update: A Strategic Pause, But the Mission Continues and the petition is over

Hi everyone,

As we head into 2026, I want to share an important update. I’ll be stepping back from active advocacy for a while—but the fight to delay the App Store Accountability Act until **March 13, 2027** is far from over.

Why now? Because a **lawsuit has been filed against the Texas version of the bill**, and that legal challenge weakens the federal version. It proves what we’ve been saying all along: this legislation is flawed, rushed, and risks violating youth rights and privacy.

Here is the resources to the lawsuit

This pause isn’t surrender—it’s strategy. The bill is stalled, and the pressure we’ve built is working. I’m asking Congress to **honor the delay until March 13 2027**—not just for me, but for every teen whose voice was left out of this debate.

I may be less active in 2026 to Q1 of 2027, but I’m counting on you to keep sharing, speaking out, holding lawmakers accountable and making my message on mainstream news. Every signature, every share, every comment matters.

Let’s make sure they hear us—loud and clear—until **March 13, 2027**.

And because of this I am shutting down this petition and the others

Thank you for standing with me.

Stop the App Store Accountability Act — Delay It Until March 13, 2027
🚨 Apple Confirms Compliance with SB2420 — We Must Act Now

Dear Supporters,

Today, Apple officially announced it will comply with Texas’s App Store Accountability Act (SB2420) starting **January 1, 2026** — a law that directly conflicts with federal privacy protections under **COPPA**.

This law forces all users under **18** in Texas to verify their age, join Family Sharing, and obtain parental consent for every app download or purchase — even for basic apps like weather or sports scores. COPPA sets the age threshold at **13**, and SB2420’s overreach threatens privacy, expands surveillance, and burdens families and developers alike.

Apple has expressed concern about the law’s impact on user privacy, but instead of challenging it, they’re preparing to enforce it. That’s why our petition to **delay ASAA until March 13, 2027** is more urgent than ever.

We need to:

- **Flood the FTC and DOJ with complaints** urging federal intervention.

- **Contact privacy advocacy groups** like EFF and CDT to push for litigation.

- **Share this petition far and wide** to build momentum before the law takes effect.

📣 **Take Action Now**:

- File a complaint with the FTC: [www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov](https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov)

- Email COPPA concerns: **CoppaHotLine@ftc.gov**

- Contact EFF: **info@eff.org**

- Contact CDT: **info@cdt.org**

- Email DOJ: **AskDOJ@usdoj.gov**

Together, we can protect digital rights and stop this law from undermining federal privacy standards. Thank you for standing with us.

With urgency,

🛑 **In September, we saw a wave of misleading articles** from parent groups and other supporters pushing lawmakers to pass this bill. These articles ignore the real impact on teens like me—who would lose access to apps we’ve used responsibly for years. If you see any of these articles, please speak up. **Publish a response on mainstream platforms, blogs, or social media** encouraging Congress to delay the ASAA until 2027. Let’s make sure our side of the story is heard.

📬 **Here’s how you can help right now:**

- **Email your lawmakers** and ask them to delay the bill.

- **Post on social media** using #DelayASAA #DigitalFreedom #YouthOnlineRights.

- **Write or publish articles** that explain why this bill hurts teens and why delaying it is the right move.

🧠 This isn’t just about apps—it’s about access to mental health tools, education platforms, and creative spaces. It’s about being trusted to make decisions and having our rights respected.

Let’s keep pushing. Let’s make sure Congress hears us loud and clear: **Delay the App Store Accountability Act until March 13, 2027.**

Victories in Tariffs

These tariffs are going to impact the consumer and the civilians & citizens of the US. It will affect the poor that don’t have money for an increase in so many products. It is isolating us from the outside world. And going to harm and even shut down small businesses with the tariffs as a hole and the back and forth inconsistencies in the ways their being implemented. The list goes on. It is time for our courts to stand for the people and actually fight back!
Ash supported: Call Out the Court’s Delay. Shut Down Trump’s Tariffs for Good.
449 was expensive enough. I plan to VOTE WITH WALLET by WAITING!!! This will HURT sales. Might have to lower price like did with 3ds from 249 to 169 and bite bullet short term to make up sales. Sure diehard fans will buy day one but depending on amount increase due to tariffs but the average consumer isn’t going to spend $500+ on a gaming console. They are more concerned with monthly bills and necessities like FOOD. I know gaming is a business but Nintendo needs to grasp that the average consumer isn’t MADE OF MONEY and some of us don’t do YouTube for income

I have witnessed the continuous increase of outsourcing engineering services to low cost centers abroad from India, China, and El Salvador. This is driving American engineers to seek other employment opportunities and depleting the availability of critical resources that the country needs.

I always try to support small, independent roasters who consistently provide the best coffee money can buy, and community that isn’t for sale! With these tariffs, many great people will lose their jobs and along with it, we will lose another part of our communities.
Dane supported: Exempt Coffee from Tariffs: Protect American Small Businesses and Preserve Coffee Quality
As a Barista in a local coffeehouse in Utah. The tariffs have made it increasingly stressful to provide customer with an accurate and reliable supply of coffee due to the “unknown” future of these tariffs.
Carlos supported: Exempt Coffee from Tariffs: Protect American Small Businesses and Preserve Coffee Quality
Tariffs will increase the one commodity that Americans not only enjoy, but use in everyday work places, at home, and to be generally alert and focused. If the US military relies on coffee to be effective in their units, civilians drink coffee to be productive within our society. Take away those small privileges one by one, there will be less production overall.
Daniel supported: Exempt Coffee from Tariffs: Protect American Small Businesses and Preserve Coffee Quality
I buy my coffee almost exclusively from local roasters who will be most harmed by these tariffs. Their work helps me have new experiences, supports farmers, and ensures that my coffee is sourced ethically.
Benjamin supported: Exempt Coffee from Tariffs: Protect American Small Businesses and Preserve Coffee Quality
I love supporting small coffee businesses and these tariffs will hurt those companies the most. Some of the best people work at these establishments and it would be a shame for them to loose their jobs.
