Earth is a Doom II episode mod consisting of ten levels, created by Roger Ritenour. As part of their 10 Years of Doom feature, Doomworld named it one of the ten best WADs of 1998.
According to a note to the idgames maintainer located within the text file, Earth was originally released to idgames in mid-1997, but was accidentally replaced by an unrelated PWAD called earth1 in June 1998, prompting Earth's re-release to idgames on August 7, 1998 (meanwhile the EARTH.WAD's timestamp dates it to September 30, 1997). An updated version for ZDoom that supports free-look, jumping and increased architectural complexity, appeared in May 1999.
