This guide contains examples of how to use data filters in Rules. Data filters are plugins for the TypedDataFilter plugin type defined by the Typed Data API module. A number of filters are included with the Typed Data API module, and a number of filters are provided by other modules, for example the Rules Essential module.
The documentation on DataFilters lists the data filters available in the Typed Data API and Rules Essentials modules, and shows you the syntax for using these data filters.
These examples are separated by module to make clear which filters are provided by which module. You do not have to enable Rules Essentials in order to test the Typed Data API filters, but you WILL have to enable Rules Essentials in order to test the Rules Essentials filters.
