The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Claude models is not affected. We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible. AI is advancing at a pace our policymaking institutions were never built for—and the gap between the two is becoming the central challenge of the technology. We've recently launched two new initiatives to help close this gap. First, our Economic Policy Framework. This is our proposal for how the US government should manage labor market disruption from advanced AI. We’re contributing $200 million to a new fund to sponsor major evaluations of some of these ideas. Second, our Advanced AI Framework. This sets out how governments should prepare for and prevent catastrophic risks from frontier AI systems. The government should have the authority to block or revoke the release of unsafe models, and invest in societal resilience. These projects are not sufficient to meet the challenge of advanced AI. But they’re a signal of our intent. Over the coming months and years, we will expand our work on these fronts much further. https://lnkd.in/gDJRY3Nc

We’re conducting a new survey series, Anthropic Public Record, to understand how the public thinks and feels about AI, and presenting a snapshot of the results from the first wave, fielded in November and December of 2025 with nearly 52,000 Americans. https://lnkd.in/g6ukCkDS

We’re launching Claude Corps, a fellowship program for people early in their careers who are passionate about extending the benefits of AI to communities across America. Alongside CodePath and Social Finance, we’ll teach 1,000 people how to use Claude, match them with mission-driven organizations across the US, and pay them to spend a year helping host organizations use AI to advance their missions. https://lnkd.in/eMnyFNz5

Introducing Claude Fable 5: a Mythos-class model that we've made safe for general use. Its capabilities exceed those of any model we've ever made generally available. Fable 5 is state-of-the-art on nearly all tested benchmarks, with exceptional performance in software engineering, knowledge work, scientific research, and vision. The longer and more complex the task, the larger Fable 5’s lead over our other models. Releasing a model this capable comes with risks. Without safeguards, Fable 5's capabilities in areas like cybersecurity could be misused to cause serious damage. Queries on a narrow range of topics, related to cybersecurity, biology and chemistry, and distillation, will instead receive a response from our next-most-capable model, Claude Opus 4.8. Users are informed whenever a fallback occurs, on average in less than 5% of sessions, and performance everywhere else is unaffected. We'll keep refining the safeguards to reduce false positives. For a small group of cyber defenders and critical infrastructure providers, we're also launching Claude Mythos 5: the same underlying model as Fable 5, but with the safeguards lifted in some areas. Soon, we intend to expand access through a broader trusted access program, for both defensive cybersecurity work and biomedical research. Claude Fable 5 is available everywhere today. Claude Mythos 5 is restricted to Glasswing partners and select biology researchers until the trusted access program is available. Before we ship a new model, these teams try to break it. They build with it inside their own organizations and push it to its limits. When something falls short, they tell us what they'd need instead. What they find makes the final model better.

We've raised $65 billion in Series H funding at a $965 billion post-money valuation, led by Altimeter, Dragoneer Investment Group, Greenoaks, and Sequoia Capital. This investment will help us advance our research and expand our capacity to meet growing demand for Claude. Earlier this month, our run-rate revenue crossed $47 billion. This growth has been driven by organizations across many industries deploying Claude in their core operations, and by a growing number of people using it for their everyday work.
