We’re proud to see two of the five finalist teams advancing in the $11M XPRIZE Autonomous Wildfire Response competition leveraging the rugged reliability, modularity, and open system architecture of #AscentAeroSystems UAS platforms as part of their integrated solutions. Advancing to the finals from a pool of more than 300 global registrants: 🔥 Dryad Networks. Its #Silvanet ultra-early wildfire detection system is supported by the medium weight NX30 (SPARTAN) to enable persistent sensing and early-stage detection within a broader wildfire response architecture. 🔥 Data Blanket has developed a rapidly deployable autonomous drone swarm system built on Ascent's flagship SPIRIT #sUAS. Its instant wildfire detection system is able to predict and track the behavior of wildfires in real-time with unprecedented accuracy. Wildfire response demands systems that perform reliably in challenging environments and integrate seamlessly into larger operational architectures. We’re honored to know Ascent platforms are supporting the talented, innovative teams tackling this complex and often devastating public safety challenge. Congratulations to all of the XPRIZE Wildfire finalists. We look forward to following the next phase of the competition and the continued innovation it brings to wildfire resilience and response. 🔗 Read more about all the XPRIZE Autonomous Wildfire Response finalists at the link in the comments below. ⬇️ #XPRIZE #WildfireResponse #PublicSafety #UAS #UnmannedAviation #DefenseTech #DroneTech #SPIRIT #SPARTAN

As the vertical aviation ecosystem continues to evolve, the conversation is shifting — from choosing between crewed and uncrewed aircraft to understanding how these systems can work together. This recent feature piece by Justin Bachman for VAI | Vertical Aviation International's POWER UP Magazine explores exactly that: how unmanned aircraft can complement traditional VTOL operations — improving safety, efficiency, and mission coverage when and where it matters most. At Ascent AeroSystems, this is exactly the problem space we’re focused on: building reliable, high-performance, aircraft-grade unmanned systems purpose-built for real-world aviation operations. We're grateful to #VerticalAviationInternational for the opportunity to be part of this broader industry conversation, and to Justin for elevating it so thoughtfully. 📖 Full feature below. "Dual-use design isn’t just a nice-to-have—it’s a strategic imperative for any company looking to compete and scale in today’s drone industry.” It is largely undisputed that we are entering a truly transformational era for the unmanned aerial vehicle industry. For both commercial and military/defense markets, demand for secure, American-made UAS has never been more explicit, yet the ability to manufacture at the scale necessary to meet operational needs is not quite there. Yet. At Ascent AeroSystems, we believe a robust and sustainable UAS ecosystem is a function of product design, operational capability, and manufacturing excellence, and we're excited to have Ascent AeroSystems' Head of Product, Logan Steinfeld, bring forward the discussion as part of AUVSI — Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International's webinar series. In this upcoming webinar, we'll examine how dual-use design and modular UAV platforms built on open architecture principles are key to competitiveness in a new era of UAV operations, and how proven manufacturing processes will enable the creation of a resilient, sustainable UAS industrial base. Mark your calendars and join us to be part of this important discussion! 📅 Wednesday, December 3rd 🕒 3:00pm EST 🔗 Registration link in the comments below. #AUVSI #DualUseDrones #DroneTech #MOSA #Modularity #Multimission #sUAS #UAS #UAV #webinar #dronetalk #letstalkdrones #AscentAeroSystems #SystemofSystems #UASManufacturing

Honored to have the Ascent AeroSystems #SPIRIT coaxial UAS in service with the Florida State Guard and to see it represented in LiveU's recent blue-skies exercise. Even more honored to know that when the skies are not blue, the FSG team has the right tools in Ascent's all-weather, high-performance UAS to enable reliable, life-saving responsiveness in potentially life-threatening situations. With the ability to deploy in minutes and maintain hover even in heavy rain and wind up to 60+mph, the Spirit outperforms traditional drones when it matters most. 🔗 Learn more about the Ascent Spirit here >> https://lnkd.in/eECMtCF #DronesforGood #FirstResponderDrones #coaxialUAS #hoveringsaveslives #badweatherdrones
Effective response to crisis situations like hurricanes, missing persons, forest fires and other emergencies requires the right tools, teamwork and training. This blue-skies exercise conducted by the Florida State Guard was a textbook example of this valuable process. Bringing together multiple equipment vendors & technical experts allowed this training environment to provide a combination of classroom and hands-on training that will prepare the FSG response team for any challenges presented to them during a crisis. Kudos to Jesse Cortez & Alberto B. for their leadership, and Petre Apostol & Charlie Rohan for their technical expertise and on-site support. #DronesForGood #BlueSkiesTraining #ReadyToServe Jared Brody Sam Steyn Moran Bar AJ Morgan Industrial Corporation LiveU Public Safety Volatus Drones Robinson Helicopter Company Ascent Aerospace Dean Attridge Florida State Guard DRAXXON Doodle Labs
