As significant energy blackouts and supply disruptions become headline news, governments worldwide are elevating the importance of energy security on their national security agendas. This brings increased political scrutiny of investors, developers and other suppliers, with Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) screenings and government interventions risking delay or scuppering deals. As investors develop their gameplan for success, our global team is working to advise, support, and navigate through these challenges. Our multidisciplinary lawyers have the experience and insight to: ✓ Provide tailored risk assessments ✓ Identify checkpoints for FDI approvals and notifications ✓ Guide through strategic engagement with authorities ✓ Coordinate filings for smoother cross-border transactions ✓ Develop custom legal tech solutions Learn more about how FDI screenings can impact energy investment and how we can help in our latest one-pager by Christopher Peacock, Casto González-Páramo, Philipp Reckers, Victor Levy, and Raquel Fernández Menéndez: https://lnkd.in/eBVFmFY4 Discover more in our Future of Energy Perspectives series: https://bit.ly/4obHR15

"This ruling is a breakthrough moment for disability rights in Armenia and beyond.” We have supported Armenian NGO Disability Rights Agenda, which participated as amicus curiae in a landmark case brought by the Ombudsperson of Armenia before the Constitutional Court which ended blanket bans on people with disabilities serving as judges, police officers, and in other public service roles. Our team contributed by drafting an amicus brief and facilitating testimony from senior counsel Judge David Tatel, a retired U.S. federal judge and pro bono senior counsel at Hogan Lovells. He spoke powerfully to the value of varied perspectives and lived experience in judicial decision-making. “We are proud to have supported Disability Rights Agenda in ensuring that the Constitutional Court recognized the principle that disability should never automatically disqualify a person from serving their community,” said Pro Bono senior associate Haylea Campbell. “Armenia has moved to an approach based on individual capacity and reasonable accommodation, sending a clear message.” Read more in our press release linked in the comments.
