About us
We have developed the only digital method of birth control cleared by regulators both in the US and in Europe. Effective, natural, and backed by clinical research - Natural Cycles has been cleared by the US FDA and CE marked in Europe. Today we have a growing user base, who are happy to have found a method of birth control that is right for them and that allows them to get to know their bodies and cycles. No matter what your choice is, we believe that every woman should know that understanding how your cycle works matters. Natural Cycles was created when our founders, Elina and Raoul, were in search of an effective method of natural birth control. Their journey took them from physics straight into health tech for women. The couple were unsatisfied with what they found, so they decided to apply their experience and knowledge in advanced mathematics and data analysis to develop a solution to meet their needs. This turned out to be an algorithm that detects and predicts ovulation and fertility. In the early days, they used the algorithm for their own purposes but quickly realized that there was a vast unmet need for this type of method. They decided to develop a mobile app so women from all over the world could easily access and use Natural Cycles. Our company has been up and running since 2013 and has been rapidly growing since our CE certification in February 2017. At Natural Cycles we are always looking for passionate talents to help us strive for change in such a complex, scientific, and controversial field. We have women's best interest at heart and work hard every single day to ensure that we provide the best possible solution. That’s why each and every team member is passionate about what we do. I’ve often heard, “If you want something done well, do it yourself.” In some ways that’s true. I took a leap of faith when I developed the Natural Cycles algorithm and coded the first app more than a decade ago. But it’s not the whole story. Natural Cycles has survived and thrived, no small feat in women’s health, because of the extraordinary team behind it. Today, that team makes me especially proud as we launch NC° Perimenopause, a new mode in the Natural Cycles app built to bring clarity to a stage of life that’s too often overlooked. A perimenopause product has been on our roadmap for years, and in true Natural Cycles fashion, we didn’t take the easy route. This launch is powered by our new NC° Menopause Algorithm, the result of years of research, development, and validation — because women deserve tools built on science, not shortcuts. Just as we’ve done with the NC° Fertility Algorithm and the Natural Cycles app, we’ll keep iterating on NC° Perimenopause. In the months ahead, we have a robust slate of improvements and features queued up to deepen insights and better support conversations with healthcare providers. This has been a long time coming, and it’s just the beginning. We had a wonderful time attending and exhibiting at the Agora Health UK Perimenopause event in London earlier this week to kick off #MenopauseAwarenessMonth. It was great connecting with so many menopause experts, consumers, femtech founders & healthcare experts and discussing the science and research that goes into NC°. A BIG thank you to Grace Shaw + team for organizing such a powerful event. We were honored to be a part of it.

Förra veckan hade vi på Natural Cycles möjlighet att träffa Moderaterna i Skatteutskottet för ett givande samtal om hur en momssänkning på receptfria preventivmedel kan bidra till en mer jämlik och tillgänglig hälso- och sjukvård, och stärka valfriheten i preventivmedelsvalet. Det finns ingen universallösning för preventivmedel. Olika individer har olika behov, och för många är receptfria alternativ som kondomer och Natural Cycles avgörande. Ändå beskattas dessa produkter i dag med den högsta momssatsen, 25 %. En momssänkning skulle göra fler alternativ tillgängliga, stärka valfriheten och förbättra folkhälsan - utan att kräva stora resurser. Stort tack till min kollega Simon Afeworki och Moderaterna i Skatteutskottet för en konstruktiv dialog om hur vi tillsammans kan skapa en mer personcentrerad vård.
