Documentation for the above template (sometimes hidden from view).

The References template is the very last element placed in an article. Note that for game articles (as indicated by the use of {{Infobox game}}), the template is also responsible for making calls to a few Cargo related template whose sole purpose is to populate the Cargo backend with data from the article.

This template has no parameters (all information is specified elsewhere on the page). See the Editing guide section for further details.
