In writing homework please have your child working on writing stamina! Your child should be able to
write independently for at least 10 minutes. Remember, when students are writing look for proper
capitalization (only the first letter in a sentence and proper nouns should be capitalized) as well as
ending punctuation and proper spacing between words.
In math, we will finish with composing and decomposing numbers. By the end of Kindergarten,
students will be expected to compose and decompose numbers 11-19 into ten ones and some further
ones by using objects, drawing or equations.
In reading, science and health we will work on common holidays and health and nutrition .
Homework will be sent home at the beginning of the week, and collected at the end of the week.
Please make sure you have your child read their book from their take home book beg each night and
bring it back to school everyday. Thank you.
