THE EDUCATION SYSTEM IN THE UK COMPRED TO EDUCATION SYSTEM IN BANGLADESH

There are many different between education system in the UK and education system
in Bangladesh. The education system is differences of both the countries, such as, in the way
of teaching, different type of social activity, cultural events, subjects and duration etc.

In the UK, all children between 5 and 16 Years of age must receive education on a
full time basis, whereas, in Bangladesh, it is compulsory to receive primary education
between 5 and 11 age. The timing of the educational days are quite similar in the UK and
Bangladesh but, In the UK, Saturday and Sunday both two days are weekly holidays, on the
other hand, in Bangladesh, only Friday is weekly holiday.

Describing the differences in the UK education systems, one of the most important
differences is in the subjects that are; in the UK , English, mathematics and science are
considered to be the core subjects, whereas in Bangladesh the major subject are Bengali,
mathematics, general science, social science and compulsory subject English. Another
difference in the education system of both countries is the way of teaching. In the UK,
teaching system is very friendly and too informal of discussions taking place and in
comparison and teacher and student both are create good relation, on the other hand, in
Bangladesh, teaching system is theoretical and lower level students cannot understand
theoretical lecture. Education system is not friendly, very rude technique apply in
Bangladesh, whereas, in the UK, education system is more practical than the education
system of Bangladesh.

In the UK, social and cultural events are the part of education, whereas, in
Bangladesh, social and cultural events are maintain only special days. In the UK, educational
institute spend money for recreation, but Bangladesh is poor country, so, the institute
cannot spend money for student’s recreation.

Another difference is duration. In the UK education system is semester system but in


Bangladesh, education system is yearly up to intermediate level.

There are a lot of differences between the educational system of the UK and
educational system of Bangladesh. Educational system of UK is more advance and
systematic than the educational system of Bangladesh. IN the UK, students get more
facilities, whereas, the Bangladeshi’s students are not get enough facilities.
