remarks
Depending on the temperature and quality of the
base layer (porosity!) the consumption may be
higher.
In place of CONIPUR 203 or CONIPUR 222,
CONIPUR 210 or CONIPUR 221 can be used in
combination with EPDM powder (0.0-0.5 mm).
The powder must be checked for compatibility
with CONIPUR 210/221 before use.
Net consumption. In total approx. 4.00 kg/m
should be calculated incl. the excess quantity.
Depending on the application method, the
climate conditions and the area installed, the
excess amount can possibly be reduced.

Preparation
Substrates to be coated have to be firm, dry, load
bearing and free of loose and brittle particles and
substances which impair adhesion such as oil, grease,
rubber skid marks, paint or other contaminants. The
moisture level must not exceed 4 % (check with CM
equipment), which corresponds to maximum 75 %
relative humidity according to ASTM F 2170. If using
the calcium chloride test, the maximum allowable
vapour emissions is 4.0 lbs. as per ASTM F 1869. The
temperature of the substrate must be at least 3 C
above the current dew point temperature.
Application
Apply CONIPUR 70 (in case of concrete CONIPUR 74)
onto the pre-treated asphalt substrate using airless
spraying equipment or a paint roller. Apply only as
much primer as can be recoated within 24 hours
(concrete 8 hours). Allow the solvent to evaporate and
the sub base to become sticky, before applying the
resilient layer. If recoating does not take place within
the 24 hours (concrete 8 hours) period a new coat of
primer must be applied in order to avoid poor adhesion.
Mix the rubber granules and CONIPUR 322 using a
specially designed mixer. Apply the mixed material with
a specially designed paver onto the primed surface. Let
the base layer cure (harden). The curing process
depends on temperature and humidity.

Close the pores with pore sealer CONIPUR 203 by
using a rubber or metal flat squeegee, trowel or
specially equipped paving machine.
After curing (please pay attention to the maximum
recoating interval of the poresealer), apply coating
CONIPUR 210 with a notched squeegee. Broadcast the
surface with EPDM granules to excess before curing
takes place. Remove the excess EPDM granules
(which can be used again) when the coating has cured
(hardened).
Optionally, the surface can be sealed with pigmented
CONIPUR 63 HE or CONIPUR 64 HE, sprayed in 2
coats.
