Agilent ADS Simulation Design Environment: Starting Project

The Agilent ADS simulation software provides a design environment for simulating RF and analog circuits. It allows users to perform DC, AC, S-parameter, harmonic balance and transient simulations. The software utilizes a project framework with different windows for schematic design, layout, and data display. Circuits are constructed hierarchically using components from libraries and palettes. Simulation results can be analyzed by plotting data and adding equations in the data display window.

Library & Palette

Placing Components
Create designs by placing items (component, data

item, measurement, source, simulation control, etc.)

As you begin design work, you access these items
from
Component library: text-oriented and provide descriptions
Component Palette: using buttons that are always visible
Component History List
Change parameter values in the these items
Through Component Parameter dialog box
using the on-screen editor
