Stages of the lesson:
Warm up/Review (5 mins.)
Name: Blind Speed Spelling
For this activity the class is going to be divided into three groups. One student from each
team has to step forward hanging a marker and also he or she is going to use a blindfold
Then the group has to give directions until the student could be near to the board, next
the teacher pronounce a word that the rest of the members have to spell to his
classmate. The group that complete the game in less time wins.

- Theory (10 mins.)
- Definition of Burns (2min)
Types of burns and Burns Levels (3 min)
- Theoretical introduction of Burns and Electrical Injuries with meaning.

- Presentation of Burn degrees with graphics. (Slides
- Vocabulary (15 mins.)
- Teach vocabulary using slides:
- Practice: *Use the first aid kit
- Pick up an item from the box.
- Ask the students for the name of the object.
- The group of the student who answers correctly will get a point.
- Procedures (7 mins.)
- PPT presentation of the procedure in small burns and important facts
(Pag 53)
- PPT explanation of the correct procedure with large burns and its
important facts (Pag 54)
- PPT presentation of electrical injuries (Pag 54)
Assessment (15 mins.):
- Ss will be gathered in groups of four
- The teacher will provide a picture with a burn or electrical injury to each group
- Ss will have to proceed according to what they learnt
- A rubric will be used in order to assign a grade
