Journalistic Essay: Center Stage
Merry Child School celebrates its 24th foundation day on August 24-25, 2019 with
the theme “Unstoppable” and one of the events on the first day is the Musical on Center
Stage. The event was held at Limketkai Event Center from 3:00 – 5:00 PM. The event
was happily performed by teachers and students to experience a musical play and for
students to have extra-curricular points. It was successful with the help of the teachers
and students.
Before the event happened, of course there are practices. Even if the students are
filled up with their schedule with the hiphop practices, they still manage to attend on the
time of practices. With the help of the cooperation of the teachers and students, the event
itself became successful. Sir Ralph, the former director of the Musical on Center Stage of
Merry Child School’s 23rd foundation day also helped on guiding the teachers and
students. Sir Ralph was really a big help as he is an experienced performer and singer.
On the day of general rehearsal, Teacher Mabelle watched the performers to advise
them.
On the day of the event, the chairs, tables, lights, sounds and other things to be
used are being prepared. Teachers and students are also prepared for their performance.
The teachers and students had arrived on the venue but the program didn’t start directly.
The directors planned to rehearse first before starting the Musical on Center Stage. The
rehearsals molded the performers to perform better. The performers set the stage on fire
as the audience claps their hands with the performances. The Limketkai Event Center
was full of happiness and support of the ever-loving parents of the performers. The event
became successful and after all the performance, Teacher Joyce acknowledged all the
performers of Musical on Center Stage of Merry Child School’s Foundation Day with the
theme “Unstoppable”.
After the event, teachers and students took their pictures as they are overwhelmed
of the success of the event. Everybody is happy as they performed successfully.
Everyone went home to their homes safe and sound. The Musical on Center Stage is a
remarkable event for the performers. The event will not be successful without the help of
the teachers and students.

Informative Essay: The use of technology among High school students: Pros and Cons
In today’s dynamic world, life without technology is meaningless. Technology is a
thing that makes a task easier. It is undeniable that technology can really make our life
easier. We use technology for communication, transportation, learning, manufacturing,
securing data, scaling businesses and so much more. Humans value technology so much
because it makes our life better.
Nowadays, most learning areas or schools are using technology to ease the
teaching of students. Technology is very important to the education system, both in terms
of supporting supporting educational matters as well as enhancing the learning process
of the students. With computers, students can do research on their topics if they find it
hard or confusing. But using technology among students also has its own advantages
and disadvantages. One of the advantages is that students will have instant access to
informations that can supplement their learning experience. This is where teachers
upload articles or videos that can help students to understand their topics or reminding
the students of the homeworks that needs to be done. Also, one of the advantages is that
students and teachers can learn everywhere. With cellphones and computers, they can
easily search for their topics. Last advantage of using technology is that students prefer
watching educational movies than listening to lessons. The lesson on the educational
movies can be more interactive and motivates the student to learn.
On the disadvantage side, one of this is that technology can become a distraction
to students. There are many apps and games that can distract a student. Especially social
media apps such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and more. These apps bring distraction
to students and not only students but also teachers who are socially active in social media.
Also, one of the disadvantage is that students can become too dependent. Instead of
going to the library to do research, some student choose to access information on the
internet which is not always accurate. Last disadvantage is that some students who are
homeschooling doesn’t experience social and team building. People have formed
precious relationships in school. Homeschooling students are loss of connection.
In conclusion, the advantages and disadvantages of technology on students
depends on how it is used. If it is used for the good, then it gives good result. Lets just
hope that these inventions won’t give us bad outcomes on the near future.
