destructive Proof test of pipe fitting ,as detailed below.

STARTING MATERIAL ASTM A 106 GR B SEAMLESS PIPE

Scope ofInspection: -
1. Identified starting material against mill test certificates
2. Identification of test coupons for physical testing as per specification requirements.
3. Witnessed physical tests of test coupon ,representing the sample fitting .Actual tensile strength was observed to
be 47.74 Kg/mm2.
4. Carried out visual inspection & verified dimensions for compliance to ASME B16.9 requirements .
5. Witnessed Proof test & verified that the fitting assembly withstood 105% of computed proof test
pressure(423.70 Kg/ cm2g) without rupture.

Conclusion: The test results are considered suitable to meet the requirements of ASME B16.9-2001 ,for pipe
