Introduction
Safety signs significant used are to:
Draw attention to health and safety
hazards.
To point out hazards that may not be
obvious.
To provide general information and
directions.
To remind employees where personal
protection equipment must be worn.
To show where emergency equipment is
located.
To indicate where certain actions are
prohibited.

Introduction
The safety signs should have these elements:
Attract a person’s attention.
Clearly identify the nature hazard.
Can specify the immediate action required.
Be posted in a place that provides enough
time for a person to read the sign and act
accordingly.

can acknowledge and follow it.
When employees are aware of the hazards
around them and take necessary precautions,
the possibilities of an injury, illness or other loss
is minimize.
