BUSINESS NAME

Samedt

Our company’s name is based on a millennial slang word “samedt” which

simply means the same or alike. It is an expression used when two people share

similar sentiments. However, letters D and T are added at the end to emphasize

the stress of their alikeness. Samedt offers three products, namely Stick Ur Tots,

Markahan Ang Past, and Wit-Tee, designed with different statements or words

commonly used by today's generation.

Out of the logos designed by the creative team, they decided to use a logo

that is simple and truly represents the core of the business. It used black, orange,

and white colors that complement each other. It also signifies the modernness

Pricing Strategy

It shows how we strategically compute the unit cost of the products offered

using the targeted annual amount and the targeted units to be produced. It also

explains the computation of how the company came up with the selling price.

Samedt Company considered using the cost-based since it is the most

appropriate to use on these kinds of products. The percentage mark is

formulated due to several factors namely; the profitability of the company in order

to gain profit, and competitors' pricing points.

Stik Ur Tots Sticker Packs

27 | SAMEDT
Figure 12. Table for computing the cost

Figure 12 shows the computation for the unit cost of Stik Ur Tots Sticker

Packs. The annual amount of cost of goods sold is Php 19,246.50, divided by

987 which is the total number of units to be produced, having a quotient of Php

19.50 as the unit cost of the product. It is the cost incurred by the business to

produce and sell one unit of the product.

Figure 13. Table for cost-based pricing per unit

Figure 13 shows the calculation for the selling price per unit. The unit cost

(Php. 19.50) was determined by dividing the annual cost of goods sold by the

annual number of units produced. It is then multiplied to the mark on percentage

increase (55%), resulting in the selling price of Php 29.25 per unit.

Cost Php. 19.50

Target Mark-on = 55% mark-on percentage

28 | SAMEDT
= Php. 19.50 * 0.55

= Php. 10.725

Suggested Retail = Cost + Target Ma= Php. 19.50 + 10.725

Price = Php. 30.225

Distribution Strategy

Samedt company will provide quality products and content to our

customers and audiences with the help of nine (9) staff. For the business to

efficiently interact with their customers even with the risk of COVID-19, we

decided to use an indirect distribution strategy wherein we could use sites such

as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Shopee in which the product will be

distributed by a courier directly to the provided address or it can be picked up by

the customer. With this, the needs of the customers will be certainly provided

along with the assurance of their safety.

Online platforms are widely known and use as of today. By using this

strategy, we may utilize it as an advantage in promoting our products to give our

business an edge because we could use the popularity of these platforms to

widen the audience of our business since almost everyone has access to the

internet. To value our customers through listening and taking into consideration

their feedback and suggestion is one of the objectives that our business wants to

29 | SAMEDT
achieve. Therefore, it will benefit us to communicate with the audience and

consider their perspectives to improve our business.

PROMOTIONAL STRATEGIES

Since we are mandated to stay inside our house and limit outdoor

activities, we could market our product by utilizing the technology. Our company

(Samedt) decides that one most practical promotional strategy is through Social

Media. Social media marketing isn’t the get-rich-quick scheme that we all may

want, but there is significant potential in building and nurturing a social media

audience.

Interacting with consumers on social media is an important marketing

strategy for small businesses like ours. Our company wants to increase our

30 | SAMEDT
customer base, build brand awareness, and have less expensive advertising but

still can easily inform them about our simple but witty and useful products.

In this way, younger customers can be reached easier because they are

the expected target market for this product. Online platforms, especially social

media sites, serve as a fantastic tool to display images and multimedia that may

attract potential clients.

We can use different social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and

Twitter:

 Facebook - Our company will be having its own Facebook page that

contains the product’s descriptions, different designs, and where they can

be bought. Customers can also be easily updated about our new designs

or announcements about our business through its Facebook page.

 Twitter and Instagram - Twitter’s purpose is to share ideas, trending

news, and real-time info while Instagram is used to share photos and

videos. We can use all of those features to spread or boost the popularity

of our business and make our products more eye-catching.
