Contract for Succeeding in Your Brandeis Math Class


I. Attendance
. Unless you are ill, attend class everyday.
. Get to class on time.
· If you arrive late without a written pass, sign the late book.
· Absences and lateness will affect your class participation grade.

2. Student Work
Class work
· Bring a binder with paper or a loose-leaf notebook (8 Y2x II in) and a pen or pencil.
· Complete all assigned class work during class.
. All written work should be done neatly.
· Participate in class discussions.
· Ask questions when you have them.
· Take good notes and keep your notebook orderly.
Homework
· Do homework each night it is assigned.
· Make up any homework you are missing.
· Write the homework number on each assignment.
. Do not copy homework; any copied homework will be considered not done.
3. Exams & Quizzes
· 65% is passing for all exams (including Regents exams) and quizzes.
· Do not talk during exams or quizzes; doing so may reduce your grade.
· If you miss an exam or quiz (including final exams) without a written excuse, you will receive a zero for that exam or
qUIZ.

4. Classroom Behavior
· Raise your hand when you wish to speak, and wait to be called upon
· Allow your teacher and classmates to speak without interruption or distraction.

· Keep your hat, tood, and other distractions in your book bag.
Remain in your assigned seat.
Respect all adults and students of the Brandeis community.
· Do not write on desks or vandalize other classroom property.
