Atoms and elements – an Atom is the smallest unit of matter.

An element is a substance made up of just one type of atom.

A molecule forms when two or more atoms are chemically joined together. Molecular element is
when to of the same atoms join together. A molecular compound is when two or more different
types of atoms chemically join together.

Mixtures contain elements, compounds, molecules, and compounds. In a mixture substances are not
chemically combined, only physically.
