The undersigned are fourth year Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Science students of
Isabela State University - San Mariano Campus.We are Conducting our research entitled
“DIMINISHING PROPBLEM SOLVING PROMTS ON STUDENTS CONCEPTUAL
UNDERSTANDING AND PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS IN CHEMISTRY .”As part of our course
requirement in the subject SEd Sci 421-Research in Education 2,in general the objectives of our study is
to identify the difference between learners conceptual understanding and problem solving skills skills in
chemistry and also to determined if do learners that used the Diminishing Problem - Solving Prompts
(DPP)have higher mean post -test scores compared to learners that used Conventional Problem (CP) Of the
Grade 11 Gas students enrolled in this school for the second semester school year 2022-2023.The results
of this study will be used as basis in proposing an intervention plan that will be helpful in addressing
academic challenges of the students specifically interns of problem solving.
With this,we would like to ask permission to conduct our study in your school.Rest assured that
we will not disturbed the class schedule of our students respondents and all the information gathered will
be treated with utmost confidentiality.
