(Social benefits - 3M for each point, Environmental benefit-03M for each)
2 a) For a 2-wheeler,e-rickshaw and sedan with [10M] CO1 L3
specification given below,compute total traction
force, power and torque required at 30kmph and 80
kmph.Consider the pick up time to attain 30 kmph and
80 kmph to be 20seconds.what would be the power
and torque required if the 4-wheeler sedan goes to
160kmph.Assume slope to be zero.

(Force ,power and torque for each - 8M ,Power and torque for sedan for
160kmph-2M)

b) Model the acceleration of the electric scooter which [10M] CO1 L3
has a mass of 130 kg, with a typical passenger of
mass 75 kg,drag coeffecient as 0.75.The frontal area
of vehicle and rider is 0.5m2.The tyres and wheel
bearings give a coefficient of rolling resistance, μrr=
0.007.The motor is connected to the rear wheel using
a 2:1 ratio belt system, and the wheel
diameter is 42 cm.The maximum torque Tmax is
34Nm.The critical motor speed, ωc , after which the
torque falls is 103rad/sec.and gear effeciency as 0.98.

(Acceleration when torque is constant = 5M,Acceleration under Maximum
