EXT. HOUSE - NIGHT
A1. EXT. HOUSE - NIGHT

Heavy rain and thunder, A two-storied house emerges from the

darkness under the light of a powerful thunderstorm. From the
outside, it looks like an empty house, and suddenly a rain-
soaked person runs into the house through the darkness.
SUNNY, dressed in a wet raincoat, in his twenties, rings the
calling bell, then knocks hard on the door. The rain falls
heavily, mocking the sound of Sunny's loud knock. Suddenly
the door opens. Vincent, twenty-seven, wearing a T-shirt and
jeans, looks at Sunny.
VINCENT
where were you? It takes three and
a half hours to go to the shop?

SUNNY
Are you blind? Can't you see its
raining?

A2. INT. HOUSE - CONTINUOUS

After taking off his raincoat and leaving it outside, Sunny

enters, a hall dimly illuminated by the dim light of LED
bulbs adorned with a picture of God on the wall.

VINCENT
Then why did i give you the
raincoat?
SUNNY
Give it up, I need two more pegs, I
am soaked in the rain for buying
food for everyone.

Sunny and Vincent go up the stairs to the second floor of the

house.

SUNNY
Oh there's electricity in here.

VINCENT
Why? There's no light in the
streets?

SUNNY
No.

CUT TO:

A3. BEDROOM - HOUSE

A room dimmed by the limited illumination of orange LED
lights.

There are Kiran and Tony, both in their twenties, sitting on

the floor, a bottle of liquor and four glasses on the floor
with them. Sunny and Vincent enter the room, then opens the
package in Sunny's hand and places it in the middle.

SUNNY
Love the vibe.

KIRAN
This is the ambient lighting. if
you are drinking liquor you have to
drink it in this vibe.

TONY
Pour the drink, will you?

Kiran opens the liquor bottle and pours it equally in all the
four glasses. The four of them take the glass, say cheers and
drink the liquor, then put the glass back. Suddenly the power
went out and it was pitch black.

TONY
Someone turn on the mobile flash
light

Suddenly, a sound of breaking glass is heard in their room.

SUNNY
Is it the bottle or glasses?
TONY
First turn on the flash.

Vincent turns on the flashlight on his phone.

VINCENT
Sorry guys i reached out to take my
phone to turn on the flash light
then accidently hit the something.

KIRAN
Lucky the bottle didn't break.

TONY
You guys pick up the broken parts
of the glass, I'll go and get a
candle.

Tony gets up and leaves the room. The other three are picking
up the broken glass on the floor.

CUT TO:

ROOM - COUNTINUES

A4. ROOM - COUNTINUES

Out of the darkness a match burns. Tony therefore lights the

candle. Tony turns around with the candle, behind him Kiran.
KIRAN
Where do i put it?
With the broken glass in Kiran's hand and the rest of the
glass inside, Tony buys it.
VINCENT
Throw it out. Keeping broken glass
in the house is a bad omen.
Tony laughs at Vincent.

TONY
You put it in the kitchen. I will
throw it away in the morning.
VINCENT
I am just saying.

FADE TO:

A5. BEDROOM - LATER

A very silent atmosphere, in the candlelight shadows
wandering helplessly like ghosts, sad faces in the limited
light, Vincent, Sunny and Kiran. Tony enters the room. A
bottle in hand.

TONY
We are out of water.
SUNNY
I am thirsty, is there any way to
get some water.

TONY
Where to find water in this
midnight?

VINCENT
Is the raining over?

Tony turns the curtain and looks out.

TONY
Yeah.
VINCENT
I am leaving.

Vincent starts walking outside the room along with Kiran.

KIRAN

KIRAN
I am leaving too, see you tomorrow.

SUNNY
Me too

TONY
What? everyone is going now?, who
is going to finish the liquor?

VINCENT
We can drink it tomorrow. there is
no water to mix it anyway.

Kiran and Sunny goes out of the room and Tony picks up the
candle on the floor. Everyone walks out of the room.

CUT TO:

A6. HALL - CONTINOUS

Tony comes down the dark hall with candlelight, and three
people indistinctly in front of Tony. Tony comes forward with
the light and opens the door to the outside. Vincent, Sunny
and Kiran, these three go outside the house.
VINCENT
See you tomorrow man.
SUNNY
I'd like to see the liquor quantity
as it is now tomorrow. Don't drink
it.

TONY
I'll try.

Kiran leaves speechless under the influence of alcohol. Tony

closes the door.
CUT TO:

A7. ROOM - LATER

A room filled with candle light. Tony is using his mobile

phone in bed.

POV-SHOT: LOW BATTERY ALERT COMING ON MOBILE PHONE.

Tony gets up from the bed and looks out the window. It is
raining very hard. Lightning flashes at Tony's face through
the window.

Suddenly someone knocks on the front door of the house and

Suddenly someone knocks on the front door of the house and

the sound of that continuous knock fills the entire house in
the silence of darkness creating an eerie atmosphere. Tony
goes to the hall.
CUT TO:

A8. HALL - CONTINOUS

A candle is lit on a table in the middle of the hall. Tony
goes to the door and opens it. The door is open and on the
porch of the house is a man, twenty-nine years old, wearing a
raincoat.

TONY
Yes?

STRANGER
My car broke down and I don't have
my phone with me.Can you give me
your phone to make a call.
Tony looks at him for a moment.

TONY
Yes

Due to the strong wind and rain outside, raindrops fall on

the verandah.
TONY
Get it, it is raining heavy.
He enters the house. Tony closes the door as the wind blows
into the house.
TONY
I will go and get my phone.

TRACKING-SHOT: TONY WALKS DOWN THE HALL TO HIS BEDROOM. AFTER

REACHING THE BEDROOM, HE TAKES HIS PHONE FROM BED AND WALKS
TO THE HALL WITH THE CANDLE IN THE BEDROOM. AFTER REACHING
THE HALL, HE GIVES THE PHONE TO HIM.
STRANGER
Can I get some water to drink?

Tony takes a moment, then walks into the kitchen with the
candle.

A9. KITCHEN - CONTINOUS

Tony comes to the kitchen with a candle and places it on the

dining table, and suddenly we see the unknown person in the
hall walking away through the kitchen door.
Tony sees the empty jug on the dining table and then

remembers that his house has run out of drinking water. Tony
returns and goes down the hall with the candle. Tony enters
the hall and the non-existence of the unknown person in the
hall scares Tony.

CUT TO BLACK:

A10. HALL - CONTINOUS

Tony stands confused. Tony quickly suppresses his inner fear
and silently searches the hall for something. He then try to
open the front door to outside. Suddenly realizing someone
has locked it form inside and taken the keys.

WIDE-SHOT: A DIM HALL DEPENDENT ONLY ON THE LIMITED LIGHT OF

CANDLES, AND PITCH-DARK ROOMS ADJACENT TO THE HALL.
Suddenly a doubt enters Tony's mind. It disturbs his mind and
he doubts even his own shadow in that state.

Tony slowly walks forward with the candle. A room that looks
like the entrance of Dark void to him. Tony enters it
carefully and quietly. A room dimly lit by candlelight. Tony
runs his eyes around the room, then slowly walks out. Walking
forward again, he enters the next room and runs his eyes
around the room. Suddenly a sound comes from the second floor
of the house. Tony looks up in horror.

CUT TO:

A11. STAIRCASE

Tony walks up the stairs carefully and worriedly with the

candle.

CUT TO:

A12. SECOND FLOOR - CONTINOUS

Reaching the second floor of the house, Tony first looks

around, then while walking forward, suddenly a noise from
behind, Tony looks back in shock.
A room, and Tony slowly walks towards it, with each step Tony
takes, the room becomes brighter in the light of the candle
in his hand. A normal room with a bed, wardrobe and desk.
Entering the room, Tony looks around.

Tony then turns to go back and suddenly notices a foot

sticking out from under the bed in the room. Scared to see
that, Tony slowly looks under the bed with the candle light.

Under the bed lies the unknown man motionless. Tony falls
back in fear. Then looking at him, he lays perfectly still.

Tony suppresses his fear and sits on the floor kicking him
with his foot, and when he realizes that he is not moving,
Tony pulls him out from under the bed.

Tony steps back in fear to see him come out from under the
bed.

CLOSE-UP: UNIDENTIFIED MAN, EYES OPEN, LYING PERFECTLY STILL,

LIFELESS.
Tony slowly moves towards him. Then slowly put his ear to his
chest. Tony can't hear his heart beating, and suddenly Tony
hears someone knocking inside him, and suddenly he hears the
sound at the front door of the house. Tony stays still for a
moment, then pushes him back under the bed.
CUT TO:

A13. GROUND FLOOR - CONTINOUS

Tony goes down the stairs and into the hall. Walking slowly
to the front door, Tony notices the key in the door. Tony is
afraid, unable to understand what is going on there. Suddenly
someone knocks on the front door again. Tony goes to the door
and opens it. That unknown person in the verandah of the
house.

STRANGER
My car broke down and I don't have

Hearing this, Tony panics and runs inside the house. Tony
runs, aiming for the back door of the kitchen. Tony reaches
the kitchen and sees a man standing by the back door, facing
against him. Scared by that, Tony turns and runs down the
hall. He reaches the hall and sees the figure of the unknown
man standing there, he turns around in shock and sees the man
in front of him, the unknown person blows out the candle in
his hand. Total darkness.

FADE TO:

A14. HALL - DAY

Tony lies unconscious on the floor. A muffled knock is heard

at the door. Tony opens his eyes and slowly gets up. He is
confused and unable to understand what happened there.
Suddenly there is a knock on the door. Tony opens the door.

Suddenly there is a knock on the door. Tony opens the door.

Vincent is standing in the veranda.
VINCENT
How many times have you called?
What kind of person sleep like
this?

Vincent walks into the house, Tony stands confused and then
goes inside.

BOOM-SHOT: WE FLIES AWAY FROM THE VERANDAH OF TONY'S HOUSE.
