ABSTRACT
What is beauty? It is a difficult question, one that has been
pondered by philosophers and artists for centuries. In
modern society, we often associate beauty with youth and
good looks. However, this is only one aspect of beauty, and
arguably the most superficial one. Beauty does not only refer
to outward physical beauty. It refers to the beauty of
intentions, opinions, and inner beauty. Confrontation with a
beautiful object may be of short duration, but its memory
lasts for a long time. A thing of beauty is a joy forever essay
reveals the fact that spiritual beauty is something nobler
rather than physical beauty. A natural object may die or
decay; however, their thought for beauty never dies. The
beach is a wonderful place to be at the end of a long day. It’s
a beautiful thing to look out and see the ocean. If you can
catch the sunset, it’s even more amazing .It’s the beauty
around us that charms us and makes us fall in love with life.
Several examples highlighted by the essay on a thing of
beauty are a joy forever 300 words showing that beauty
within us keeps us moving on in life. No matter how
insignificant, a gift from a loved one is full of beauty for the
receiver. A small task performed with hard work and great
labor is full of beauty for that person. A learner’s first
painting- no matter how faulty it is- always seems full of
beauty for the beginner. A thing of beauty is a joy forever.
That’s an old saying that’s still true today. The most beautiful
things in the world are often the most enjoyable.

INTRODUCTION
The poem "A thing of beauty" has been written by the famous poet John Keats.

John Keats was born in 1795. He was a famous English poet who wrote poems
mainly in the romance genre. He published his works at a tender age of 21.

His works were in publication only for four years when he lived - he passed on at
young age of 25 (year 1821) due to tuberculosis disease. During his lifetime his
works received criticism; his works were later appreciated by the end of 19 th century

His famous works include "Ode to a Nightingale", "Sleep and Poetry", and the
famous sonnet "On First Looking into Chapman's Homer", and, "Endymion"

*JOHN KEATES
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE POEM

 A beautiful thing gives endless joy. Its beauty only grows; it will
never die; it will always make a safe place for us, where we can
enjoy peaceful, healthy, quiet sleep. Thus, every morning, we
make wreaths of flowers that keep us tied to this world—in spite
of misery, in spite of the sad lack of great souls, in spite of bad
days, in spite of all the dark, muddy paths we have to walk down
in our lives. Yes, in spite of all that, some vision of beauty lifts
the dark cloud away from our sad spirits.
 We see this beauty in the sun and the moon; in old trees and
young saplings growing leaves to shade innocent sheep; in
daffodils and their grassy world; in clear streams that make a
cool, secret path for themselves through the hot summer; in
clearings in the woods full of blooming musk-roses. We find
beauty, too, in the great tales we tell of long-gone heroes, and in
all the wonderful stories we've heard or read: they offer us an
immortal spring of refreshing water, pouring down to us from the
heavens.
 And we don't just enjoy such beauties for a little while. No: just
as we come to love the trees around a temple as much as we
love the temple itself, we feel that the moon, the love of poetry,
all these endless glories stay with us, shining a heartening light
on our souls. They're so close to us that, whether we're in a time
of sunshine or rain, we feel them always—or else, we die.

LITERATURE REVIEW
THEORITICAL FRAMEWORK:

1. Beauty is everlasting
The happiness that a beautiful object gives never fades into nothingness
but multiples whenever it returns to our minds. The poet writes in the poem
that "a thing of beauty is a joy forever," implying that "a thing of beauty is a
joy even in the midst of sickness, sufferings, and disappointments of life."

2. Thing of Beauty
The poem A Thing of Beauty by John Keats conveys the message that
Beauty is everywhere, and upon examination may be found. The theme of
this work is largely centered on nature, as were many of Keats' works. In
this particular poem Keats describes the affects that beauty can have on a
person.

3. Romantic Poetry concept

The Romantic poets thought that the materialistic world had given rise to
materialism, corruption, lust, and a desire for material possessions. As a
result, the Romantic Poets escaped to the countryside in order to be closer
to nature, which they saw as the ultimate source of peace and joy.

4. love, beauty, and youth

If a beautiful object is cherished in our minds, it is because it brings us

everlasting happiness. When a beautiful item comes to our minds, the joy it
brings never fades away, but multiplies many times over. The poet writes in
the poem that “a thing of beauty is a joy forever,” implying that the beauty
of an object is a joy even in the midst of sickness, sorrows, and
disappointments of life.
CONCLUSION:

The poet says that a thing of beauty brings eternal and everlasting
joy and delight. These beautiful things will always continue to
mean the same and will never pass on being useless. These
beautiful things are also like shady places that give you peaceful
sleep with sweet dreams, health, and quiet breathing. We, as
people, are often attached to the earthly things around us, and
these beautiful and simplistic things bind us together with the earth
like a flowery band. At the same time, there are hard and
materialistic or plastic things that keep us away from attaining
eternal happiness. They distract us from the small and beautiful
things that bring pleasure and happiness. These materialistic
things draw people towards gloomy days, unhealthy habits, and
darkened ways. The reason for these gloomy days and unhealthy
habits is the human’s attraction towards materialistic things.
These bring negativity to the lives of people. In spite of all this
darkness, there exist small things of beauty that move our souls far
from dark spirits and negativity. Sun, moon, old and young trees,
animals such as sheep, flowers such as daffodils, greenery,
streams, and all these simple earthly things of beauty bring us
happiness and pleasure. These things keep us away from all the
negativity and turn our sorrows into happiness. The water streams
that we talked about provide us with relief from the scorching heat
of the sun, during summers. Forests are filled with musk roses that
are pleasurable to our eyes. The tales of our brave soldiers, the
dead ones, and the ones who fought for our safety sacrificing their
own, these are things of beauty. The small and simple things are
easily found in and around us. These are our sources of
motivation, pleasure, and happiness. They help us stay away from
all the negativity life often shows upon us….
