Session Title: Reading a story with initial consonant blends
Session At the end of the session, learners will be able to:
Objectives: a. Read a short story
b. Identify words with initial consonant blends used in a
paragraph
c. Use initial consonant blends in sentences
d. Show the value of resourcefulness
Materials: Activity sheets, charts, pictures
III. Teaching Strategies
Components Duration Activities and Procedures
Create sight cards with pictures that learners can
identify. Rather than writing out the full word on the
card, only include the letter blend. Then encourage the
Pre-Reading child to say the word aloud, listening for the two sounds

During Reading 120 mins Let the learners read the story with consonant blends.

When I look up the
