WHAT IS FROZEN COMMUNICATIVE STYLE?
It is the highest formal communicative style. The subject itself specify by a
grinding voice quality, scientific vocabulary, and extensive, complex sentences.
On the other hand, the frozen communication style stick to much
uncompromising rules in wording, content, and format.
The words used for this communicative style cannot be modified as they occur
everlastingly inscribed in a document such as the preamble of the Philippine
Constitution or a commitment on a commemorative marker for a historical site or
a plaque of appreciation. Therefore, speakers of frozen communication simply
read from its origin. Furthermore, they can recruit an oratorical style of delivery
to loan more formality to the communication
Formal and frozen communication styles are associated to each other in terms of
the conditions in which they are nearly new and the degree of formality in
language. The frozen or fixed style, as the idiom signify, is rather secured
dissimilar to formal communications that can still be changed.

PREAMBLE

our ideals and aspirations, promote the common good, conserve and develop our
patrimony, and secure to ourselves and our posterity, the blessings of
independence and democracy under the rule of law and regime of truth, justice,
freedom, love, equality, and peace, do ordain and promulgate this Constitution.

Frozen communication is also known as frozen speech style of frozen register.
This also refers to highly structured, fixed, and unchanging forms of language
that are used in specific, formalized situations. Frozen speech style is
characterized by its lack of variation and adaptability. Similarly it is typically
found in rituals, ceremonies, and formal events where set phrases, words, or
expressions used and are not subject to modification. The use of a formal and
scripted speech style in events like national ceremonies, religious gatherings,
and wedding serves several crucial functions. Firstly, it upholds a deep sense of
respect and tradition, ensuring that these elements, rich in historical and cultural
significance, and delivered with the appropriate reverence. Secondly, in the case
of elements like the national anthem, it promotes unity and recognition, uniting
individuals under a shared identity and history. This style emphasizes the
importance of this unity. Thirdly, during solemn occasions such as weddings, the
marriage ceremony preamble and its frozen speech style underscore the
seriousness of the commitment being undertaken. Lastly, in formal settings,
speeches are delivered with a scripted style to maintain decorum and formality,
especially when addressing large audiences or conveying significant messages.
Ultimately, this style in these elements guarantees that they carry the weight of
tradition and importance, leaving a lasting and emotionally resonant impact on
participants and the audience.
Although frozen speech style is acceptable in some instances, it may not be ideal
for casual or everyday discussions because it can come across as stiff or distant.

If a register is frozen, it indicates that language being used has not changed over
time and won’t change in the future. This implies that the words remain
unchanged whether they are written down or spoken. They appear to have been
stopped in time
For official and serious causes (like legal matters or religious reasons), the frozen
register is frequently utilized. It typically uses whole sentences, standard
grammar, and vocabulary as a result. However, this isn’t always the situation.
Poems and songs, for instance, are instances of frozen registers but can also
contain more colloquial language and non-standard vocabulary (such slang or

This is used to describe archaic terms or expressions that were popular in the
past but are no longer widely utilized. For instance, Shakespeare frequently used
the term ‘thou’, which implies ‘you’

CONCLUSION
After learning deeply about frozen communication style, it thought me a lot
about it. I never knew that this communication style could be very strict compare
to the other communication style.
I have thought that frozen style should be respected if used to any ceremonies or
other speeches because this is no joke at all.
If I might ever use this kind of style when doing speeches, it may vary some
difficult language but has a common meaning, which is good to hear for some
professions and can improve my speech and writing skills
When using this style, we must use it in a right way and not for common
communications we usually use in this generation.
