Maple Leaf Pattern

Materials:
Yarn in various colours of your
choice.
2.5mm crochet hook.
Tapestry needle
Abbreviations:
MR - magic ring
ch - chain
sc - single crochet
hdc - half double crochet
dc - double crochet
sk - skip
st/sts - stitch/stitches
sl st - slip stitch
rep - repeat
PATTERN
Centre of leaf:
Worked in joined rounds.
R1: 12 hdc in MR. (12 sts)
R2: ch 2, hdc in same st, 2 hdc in each st around. (24 sts including ch)
Leaf and stem:
R3: [sk next st, 7 dc in next st, sk next st, sl st in next st]* rep 5 times, sc in next
2 sts, ch 11, turn and sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across, sc in
next last 2 sts.
R4: [sc in next st, hdc in next 2 sts, in next st: (2 dc, ch 3, fold and sl st on first
ch to form picot, 2 dc), hdc in next 2 sts, sc in next st, sl st in next st]* rep 5
times. Fasten off and weave in end.
