ASCEND is the premier National Level Management Meet organized by the Department
of Commerce and Management Studies, School of Business Studies, University of Calicut.
For the past 24 years, ASCEND has been a beacon of excellence, bringing together over
1000 participants from across South India and beyond.
This year, as we celebrate our 25th edition, ASCEND embraces the theme of "Agility and
Resilience." In a world characterized by rapid change, these qualities are crucial for
navigating challenges and seizing opportunities. Our fest encourages participants to
demonstrate adaptability, innovative thinking, and perseverance through a series of 10
dynamic management events.
ASCEND, recognized as the flagship event of the University of Calicut. Our motto,
"Together We Rise," reflects the spirit of collaboration and collective success, emphasizing
that through unity, we achieve greater heights.

GENERAL GUIDELINES
Online registrations for all the events will be closed by 8.00 PM on 17th November 2024 and spot
registrations will be opened for the same from 08:00 AM to 10:00 AM on 18th November 2024.
Registration verification and spot registration for Business quiz will be from 08:00 AM to 9:00 AM on
19th November 2024.
Business quiz will be held on second day.
The events are open to PG, UG, Professional and Non professional students of any stream.
The team leader should act as a point of contact with the committee.
All events are 2-day events except Business quiz, Disaster management and Treasure hunt.
The College ID card or the authorization letter from the college authority for each participant should
be shown during the registration process.
All the members of a team should be from the same college/institute.
There is no limit to the number of participants/team from a specific college for any event.
Teams failing to report at the specific venue within the stipulated time will be disqualified.

GENERAL GUIDELINES
Modifications of the teams will not be permitted after registration.
All event rounds and rules for the rounds will be communicated on the spot.
Food (Lunch) and Accommodation will be provided only to the participants of the events except spot
events. Other expenses than food and accommodation will not be borne by the institute.
Accommodation will be provided to those who qualify for the second day.
Participants are advised to take care of their personal belongings. The institution will not be held
responsible for any damage or loss.
The decisions taken by the committees and the judges would be final in any circumstance.
Scorecards will not be disclosed.
The committee has the right to modify or amend the event schedule or platform of the events at any
point in time if the situation demands it. In case of any unforeseen circumstance, the committees
have the sole authority to take action for the same.

GENERAL GUIDELINES
No gadgets and supporting accessories such as mobiles, laptops, and USB cables will be provided
by the institute.Writing materials and other stationery items will be provided by the institute.
Rounds will be time-bound.
All presentations should be in english.
All file submissions like documents, pictures, videos, audios, and PPTs should be done in the
prescribed format. Delayed submissions will not be entertained.
Any doubts regarding the event guidelines must be cleared before the commencement of events.
Any kind of malpractice, misbehaviour, catcalling or usage of offensive language is strictly
prohibited, and any such instance would lead to disqualification.
Registration fee will not be refunded if participants do not arrive on time.
Use of cigarettes, alcohol, or any other unfair means is strictly prohibited.
All participants will be provided with a participation e-certificate within 10 days.
