Question no.1
Answer:
9,460,730,472,580,800 meters are in one light year.
Question no.2
Answer:
The velocity of the light is 300,000 km/[Link] light takes 1 minute and 21
seconds to reach the earth then the distance of the earth from the sun is given;
Velocity =displacement /time
Displacement=velocity *time
Displa cement=300000*81
Displacement=24300000 km
The distance of the earth from the sun is 24,300,000 or 2.43*10^7.
Question no.3
Answer:
275 acre has 0.69136 [Link] and 2074.10 [Link].
275 acre=0.429 [Link]
0.429 [Link]=(0.429)(0.609)[Link]
=[Link]
0.69136 [Link]=(0.69136)(1000)(3) [Link]
=2074.10 [Link].
Question no.4
Answer:
Volume of container=40*30*35
=42000 ft^3
Volume of o1 kg water=0.035 ft^3
Kg in the container=42000/0.035=1,200,000
1,200,000 kg of water can be accommodated in the container.
Question no.5
Answer:
If the zero of the vernier scale is on the right side to the zero of the main
scale then it is positive error and it should be subtracted from answer. If the zero
of the vernier scale is on the left side to the zero of the main scale then it is
negative error and it should be added to the answer.
In case of the screw gauge the error is positive when the zero of the
circular scale is below the reference line of the main scale. If the zero of the
circular scale is above the reference line of the main scale then the error is
negative and it is added to the answer.
