Elfor Controls History
Elfor Controls was born in the ’70 following the increasing demand of Valve Automation
products in various industrial sectors. Consequently Elfor Controls started to develop its
first range of electric actuators and later the company expanded to increase its offering
capability and to engineer a wide range of Pneumatic & Hydraulic Actuators equipped
with their relevant control systems.
With continued investment in design and engineering, during 2006 the company name
was changed to Elfor Controls srl and registered with the local chamber of commerce.
From 2006 to 2014 the company went through a radical renewal, during which time it
was incorporated into the Delta Engineering Group, who are manufacturer of Pressure
Vessels, Heat Exchangers and Skid Packaged Systems to mainly the Oil & Gas Industry.
The product range now includes the following from the new office and factory in
Dalmine, Italy, making it a world leader.

Elfor Controls Rack & Pinion Actuators are Quarter-turn (Models 052 to 400).
Available in 16 models, either spring return or double acting.
Compact Aluminium construction and economical.
The ideal solution for small to medium valve service.
Operating pressure range from 3 to 8 bar.
Stainless Steel versions also available upon request

Elfor Controls Electric Actuators are Quarter-turn (Models AFG1-AFG2) and
Multi-Turn (Models SEM10-SEM50).

Elfor Controls Scotch-Yoke Actuators are heavy duty, quarter-turn rotary type.
Manufactured in models EC1, EC2, EC3 and EC4 Models according to different
Output Torque ranges.
FEATURES

▪ Single or double acting versions.
▪ Symmetric or canted Scotch Yoke design.
▪ Pneumatic version cylinder polished with electro-less nickel plated internal
ASTM-B733 and UNI ISO 4527 and carbon steel piston with dynamic floating
O-ring seal.
▪ 2 independent external travel stops for precise angular stroke adjustment.
▪ Position indicator complete with VDI/VDE 3845 NAMUR for mounting
accessories.

Elfor Controls Compact Actuators are the best solution where minimization of the
overall dimension is a key point.
Compact quarter-turn actuators for on-off and modulating control of ball, butterfly
or valves in heavy duty service. Available in 3 frame sizes, up to 3000Nm.
Actuators can be provided complete with control panel which is usually designed
according to project/ customer specification with a wide range of customized
adaptation.

Linear
Elfor Controls Linear Actuators, double acting and spring return.
Designed for On / Off or Regulating Control of gate and globe valves, from very
high to very low thrust requirements.
Heavy duty design and special care on materials selection make Elfor Controls
Linear actuators suitable for severe and corrosive environment installation.
A wide range of control units customizations can be provided according to all
customer needs.

Elfor Controls Electro - Hydraulic Actuators, double acting and spring
return.
DOUBLE ACTING: starting from 1.000 up to 125.000 Nm.
SPRING RETURN: from 1.000 up to 60.000 Nm (considered lower value of the
spring) SPRING-RETURN UNIT.
During the opening cycle, the motor turns on and drives the hydraulic pump
and the fluid is forced into the actuator cylinder moving the actuator to the
open position.
A limit switch box give the signal to the motor that will stop to work, while the
fluid will be blocked by closing a solenoid valve to maintain the position.
To move the actuator to the close position, the solenoid valves are opened
allowing fluid to flow to the reservoir.

Coatings
Elfor Controls standard coating specification consist of the following
Cycle:
• Sand blasting to grade SA 2 ½.
• Primer: ZINC RICH PRIMER (D.F.T. 80 microns).
• Finish: POLYURETHANE FINISH (D.F.T. 70 microns).
• The total thickness of the cycle will be minimum of 150 microns
(dry film).
• Final Colour: RAL 2009 (Orange)
• Options are also available for alternative colours and
coatings for corrosive atmospheres such as C5M.
