Questions:
1. As HR, apply the steps you would take to identify the root cause of the high turnover
rate in the engineering department.
2. Investigate the strategies you will implement to improve employee engagement and
retention in a highly competitive technology sector.
Situation 2:

financial constraints and cannot afford to hire additional staff.
Questions:
1. Explore how can HR mediate the conflict between the nursing staff and
administration, ensuring that both sides are heard and respected and the steps HR can
HR take to address the burnout issue without overburdening the hospital's finances
2. Discuss the role HR plays in ensuring that the hospital maintains compliance with
labor laws regarding working hours and employee well-being.
Situation 3:
DEF Retail operates several large stores, but recently, store managers have reported that the
performance of the sales staff has dropped significantly. Sales targets are not being met, and
customer satisfaction scores have fallen. Managers feel that the employees are not motivated
to improve, and there is a lack of consistent feedback and coaching.
Questions:
1. As HR, determine how would you address the gap in performance among the sales
staff and motivate them to meet sales targets.
2. Examine how can HR ensure that managers are equipped with the tools and training
to effectively coach and motivate their teams.
