unchanging values in a changing world; also, how to use the features of
a full-length play, tense consistency, modals, active and passive
constructions plus direct and indirect speech to enable him/her
competently performs in a full-length play. deeper appreciation of
Philippine Culture and those of other countries
Performance Standard The learner competently performs in a full- length play through applying
effective verbal and non-verbal strategies and ICT resources based on
the following criteria: Focus, Voice, Delivery and Dramatic Conventions.
Learning Make connections between texts to particular social issues, concerns,
Competencies or dispositions in real life (no available code indicated in the table of
MELCS)
I. Specific Objectives: At the end of the 50-minute discussion, the students should be able to:
1. Relate the experiences of the characters in a story to one’s life
2. Identify personal challenges/ problems you have
3. Enumerate social issues that are affecting one’s present
situation
4. Determine possible solution to social issues/ problems

II. Subject Matter: Topic: Social issues, concerns, and dispositions in real life

DIRECTIONS: Identify three problems, social issues, or


concerns that you have experienced in life and tell us how you
were able to solve those problems. Write your answer the
problem-solution diagram displayed on the board.

V. Assessment: Let the students answer the following short quiz on a ¼ sheet
of paper.
DIRECTIONS: Read and analyze the statements below. On your
paper, write TRUE if you think the statement is true and
FALSE if you think the statement is false.
1. All problems do not have a solution.

one’s problems easily.

VI. Assignment: Ask/ interview an elderly regarding on the common problems


that he/ she is facing. Ask him/ her on how he/ she was able to
deal those problems. Write your output on a 1 whole sheet of
paper. Be ready to share your output to the class on the next
meeting.
