BOX CRICKET RULES
8 players on each side and 3 extra substitutes allowed.
If a player is substituted during a match, that player cannot come back to play in the same match.
Match will be played by soft Tennis Ball.
4 overs each side. Final Match will be 5 overs.
Max of 2 overs per bowler (i.e. 2-1-1). For Final (2-1-1-1)
Ball must pitch ahead of the center line otherwise it will be considered as NO BALL. Ball bowled directly above knee
height while batter is in crease will be NO BALL.
Side arm, Full arm, Throw arm and rapid bowling is not allowed. Umpires may issue a warning to the player or
directly declare the delivery a NO BALL.
NO BALLS and WIDE will not be counted as official ball and 1 run will be scored by the opponent team.
Baller whilst delivering the ball shall stay within delivery box, if any part of the baller’s foot touchesthe delivery box
it will be considered as NO BALL. Run up while bowling is not allowed before or after bowling the ball.
In case if Delivery balled is judged as NO BALL and Batsman hits the same delivery directly out of the box,
Delivery will be counted as an official ball however batsman will be considered OUT.
In case of any controversy or discrepancies, umpires have the right to declare a delivery as DEAD BALL which
will not be counted and will have to be rebowled.
Taking runs on Byes and Leg Byes are allowed.
Wicket keepers are compulsory and can change anytime by informing either umpire. If changedwithout
informing, the delivery played will be a NO BALL.
Ball going directly outside the Box (Playing area) without interference by opponent team will be considered as
OUT.
Ball going outside the BOUNDARY, 2D, 1D AREA along the ground or at- least one bounce will be scored4, 2, 1
Runs respectively.
The Striker batsman can step out from the crease but should not cross the center line whilst doing so. If so will
be considered out.
In cases of uncertainty concerning a batsman possibly being out (RunOut), the decision must be in the batter’s
favor.
In case of Tie, Super Over will be played.
Maximum three players can field behind the bowling crease in the boundary area.
If ball crosses the boundary line directly with the only contact of any player/umpire on the field, it will be a four.
UMPIRES CAN DISCUSS WITH EACH OTHER AND UMPIRES DECISION WILL BE FINAL, AND NO ARGUMENTS WILL BE
ENTERTAINED WITH THE UMPIRE.
NO PROFANITY ON THE FIELD.
UMPIRE IN ANY OF THE ABOVE SITUATION MAY CALL OFF THE PLAY CONSIDERING WIN TO THE OPPONENT TEAM.
