Assuming thickness of wall at base = 15.00 Cm.

Height of uniform thickness from top = 0.00 M

Assuming thickness of wall at top = 15.00 Cm.

Weighted average thickness = 15.00 Cm.

H^2/Dt = 12.33

cover = 45 mm
The vertical wall shall be design in accordance to the recommendation given in clause
5.4.b. of IS: 3370 (Part II). The values of the coefficients for moments & Hoop tension
shall be calculated by interpretation from the following tables
Table No.8 IS:3370(part-IV)-2021 for coefficient for bending moment in cylindrical
wall with fixed base free top and subject to triangular load (clause 3.1.1 of IS: 3370
Part IV). IS code have coefficient values for H 2/DT value only up to 16.
CALCULATION FOR BENDING MOMENT
From the above Two tables, values of coefficient for bending moment and Hoop
tension have been interpolated for the corresponding value of H^2/Dt. The value of
bending moment and Hoop tension at different heights in wall have been shown in the
following tables.
