Card Sizes and Layers
Cards can be made in any size you want! It all depends on the size of
your paper.

The most commonly used paper sizes are International A4 in the the UK
and the rest of the world and US Letter in the US and Canada.

Whether you use A4 or US Letter each sheet will create two card bases
when divided in half.

The table below outlines the measurements.

When creating your card it is easier to use a base layer for your stamping
or colouring as if you make a mistake you aren't wasting so much card.

Your first layer can cover the whole of the card front or be slightly smaller
to add a frame or a border.

The most commonly used layer is either 1/4" if using imperial

measurements or 0.5cm if using metric measurements.

You can have as many layers as you want. Depending on the colours
chosen multiple layers can look very effective.

The table below outlines the layers for the different countries if
using a 1/4" layers.....

If using A4 or US Letter sizes card or patterned paper the easist option is
to cut your sheet into quarters.

Once in quarters trim to your card layer size.

For patterned paper the left over strip can used to decorate the inside of
the card.
