CRITERIA
[Link] (BlockBuster Quiz Bee) – Quiz Bee Edition
The contest will have 3 rounds: Easy, Average, and Difficult round. There will be ten (10) questions for the EASY, five (5) questions for the AVERAGE, and five
(5) questions for the DIFFICULT round.
The quizmaster shall read each question twice. After the second reading, the quizmaster shall say the word "GO". Only then shall the contestants begin
writing their answers on the boards provided. The time allotment is 10 seconds for regular questions and 20 seconds for science computations.
After the time limit and buzzer sound, the contestant will automatically stop writing. The contestants should raise their answer, and the correct answer will
be flashed on the screen.
Any protest or appeals regarding the preceding question will be entertained before the quizmaster proceeds to the next question.
For each team to advance in the Average Round, a team shall have 6 out of 10 questions.
For the Average Round, each question will be given specific points depending on difficulty.
After the AVERAGE round, the top three (3) groups of scorers will proceed to the DIFFICULT round.
For the Difficult round, teams will answer five (5) questions. In case of a tie, a clincher round will allow.
The committee and the judges have the right to disqualify any contestant who violates the rules of the contest.
For the Finals the Last Group standing will be the one to compete to each other to determine the rankings.
The winners will be declared as: 2nd Place, 1st Place and Quiz Bee Champion and will receive a Certificate of Recognition and medal.
The decision of the board of judges is final and irrevocable.
POINT SYSTEM
Each day will have the following rounds with their respective points and number of questions.
EASY ROUND:
1 point per question - 5 Questions
AVERAGE ROUND:
3 points per question - 7 Questions
DIFFICULT ROUND:
5 points per question - 10 Questions
Highest Possible Points: 76/76
The first, second, and third day of elimination per Grade Level will happen separately.
For the second and third day:

Grade 12 - Before Class
This activity will be held on the following dates:
September 8 (Monday): Elimination will be conducted per section that will be held by the subject teacher, where the two (2) winners will be the
representative of their classroom.
September 12 (Friday): Quarterfinals will be conducted where the two (2) representatives per section will compete for 9 slots. This will be done separately
per Grade Level, resulting to eighteen (18) student-participants.
September 18 (Friday): Semi-finals will be conducted where the remaining eighteen (18) students will be group into six (6) groups (3 student-participants
per group) and the three (3) groups with the highest points will advance to the Finals.
September 22 (Monday): Finals will be conducted where the three (3) remaining groups will compete. The group with the highest point will be announced
as the CHAMPION of AghAMAZING (BlockBuster) – Quiz Bee Edition, followed by the 1st runner up and 2nd runner up.

4. Make ME! (Recycled Product Exhibit)

5. SYMBO Bingo
“SYMBO" Bingo is a creative variation of bingo where players use symbol of elements from the periodic table instead of numbers.
The game integrates learning about chemistry with traditional bingo gameplay. Creation of Bingo Cards: The participants are required to do their own bingo
card with a 5x5 grid having each cell containing the symbol of the elements from periodic table with an arrangement. Each card from the participants can't
be the same to maintain fairness. One cell is marked as "FREE" in the center, which is a placeholder. Before the caller officially starts the game, the Science
Club Officers/ Adviser will leave a sign/stamp on the bingo cards used by the participants as a verification of the materials validity.
Markers: Physical markers (e.g., chips, coins) to cover the elements on the bingo cards.
The first and last row cannot be changed and will be cause for disqualification.
The First Row contains the following chemical symbols: H, Mn, In, Ta & Bk
The Last Row contains the following chemical symbols: Cr, Cd, Hf, Cm & Uuo
For each column, students are free to choose from the following chemical numbers but MUST INPUT their CHEMICAL SYMBOLS:
1st (S) column: Chemical symbol numbered 1-24
2nd (Y) column: Chemical symbol numbered 25-48
3rd (M) column: Chemical symbol numbered 49-74
4th (B) column: Chemical symbol numbered 75-99
5th (O) column: Chemical symbol numbered 100-118
This activity will be held on the following dates:
Grade 11 - After Class
Grade 12 - Before Class
There will be two separate tournaments for Grade 11 and Grade 12.
September 11 (Thursday): Elimination will be conducted per section, where the first three (3) winners will be the representative of their classroom.
September 15 (Monday): Quarterfinals will be conducted where all 42 students (3 representatives per section) will be competing for the 14 slots.
September 18 (Friday): Semi-finals will be conducted where the remaining 14 students will compete for the remaining 7 spots and will advance to the
Finals.
September 22 (Monday): Finals will be conducted where the top competitors will engage in the Contest of Wits until a student-participant completes a
pattern. The first one (1) to finish will be announced as the Winner of SYMBO.
To start the game, the caller will pic a piece of paper from the “tambyolo” that serves as a clue to the participants which incorporates the elements
description, commonly known as, and the chemical group they belonged to. When a player completes a winning pattern (straight line in any directions),
they shout "Bingo!" and their card is checked against the called elements to confirm the win.
6. Digi Poster Making Contest
(Theme: Environmental Issues in the Philippines; strictly Canva as the editing tool)

7. Discovery Zone
Discovery Zone (Science Experiment Booth) will be showcased during breaktime at the ground floor.
Each day starting from September 10 until September 29, there will be a 2 representative per section that will showcase a science experiment at the ground
floor of Stand Alone Senior Highschool within Taguig Integrated School to share knowledgeable attraction and to cultivate the sense of curiosity.
Theme: Any Science field related experiments.
The arrangements of presenters will start from Pilot Sections to Non-Pilot Sections. President of each section should inform the Science Club
Officers/Adviser regarding on the title of their chosen experiment to avoid further conflict towards having the same topic.
This activity will be held by the following sections on their assigned dates:
